As a member of the North Norfolk Model Engeneering Club, I would love you to revisit County Shool Station. A great deal of work has been completed on the miniature railway which is now operational on various Sundays during school holidays- all run by volunteers.
My local railway! Been so long since I was last there, last time I was was to see Union of South Africa & conveniently a beer festivle for the other half haha! Had a chat with one of the volenteers whilst steaming drunk, there's some exciting stuff happening (hopefully); they've got planned a new station at Wymondham & hope to get the up & down platform at Dearham operational again. Apparently getting to fakenham is going to be an issue, due to the lack of bridges. I do love this railway, though they do have a distinct lack of steam... Wish they would nick the J17 from the national collection lol. Also, as a Norfolk boy, I do enjoy your pronunciation of Wroxham ;)
@@WardleRestorations yep, I hope it will happen, if it does get to fakenham it I'll be the longest heratage railway in the country! Once things get back to normal, I'm going to volenteer there. Haha no worries, a lot of the place names in Norfolk make no sense!
Its well worth a visit you will have to put it on the Wells family tour list mate. Loved the bloopers and Tian laughing she has one of those laughs that make you laugh as well. Great teamwork guys.
Did you enjoy that oasis 😂. Really enjoyed this video, with being a Norfolk lad it was great to see the history of this station explored. One thing worth mentioning with county school, theres a long term plan which is to connect sheringham station (of the north Norfolk railway) right the way through to connect to the national network at wymondham and recreate the line fully. Will involve remaking the line from holt (end of the line of the north Norfolk railway) to county school via fakenham, which will then use the mid Norfolk railway to connect to the main network . Nothing set in concrete currently. It's called the Norfolk orbital railway project well worth a read but it's one massive project Keep up the good work and stay safe James
I think I did mention the Norfolk Orbital railway, they are slowly getting their land back! Would be great to see it all reconnected though! Glad you enjoyed the video mate, always apprcaite the support! stay safe
Hey Ollie, really sorry I missed the video earlier I was at work :( :( A lovely place, it would make a perfect location for a Wardle Road meet up :) :) :) I have seen a 00 gauge Class 20 in the London Underground livery on a model shop web sight, really hanging my nose over it. I think it's good to have a special place that's full of happy memories as this one is to you. Many thanks for sharing it Ollie, warmest regards to Tian. Looking forward to more videos like this. Thanks again my young friend :) :) :) take care and stay safe.
