The classical music station nearest to us used to close out its broadcast every evening with this piece, with guitar but not the guitarist. It was a great way to end the day.
I love les barricades. I have listened to many renditions of it on RU-vid - on guitar, piano, harpsichord, lute and others. I like this rendition the best. There is something about the tempo and the energy that does justice to the purity of this piece. Many thanks, from San Jose, California.
One of the most gorgeous pieces of music ever written. And you can play it on anything. FC is one of my harpsichord "Big Three" along with Rameau and Scarlatti.
This is such a beautiful rendition. I feel that the classical guitar naturally renders the various voices in this piece in a slightly different timbre, making it truly contrapuntal in a natural way.
