An American couple has managed to hook a safe filled with nearly AU$150,000 while magnet fishing in a New York lake. James Kane & Barbie Agostini join us to tell us about the valuable find. #MagnetFishing #LetsGetMagnetic #Fishing
That's a treasure haul that us magnet fishers dream of! No better feeling in the world finding a safe, even better when it's full of money and jewels 🤩
Would have been cool if they had asked them if the safe was already unlocked and if not how he so quickly gets some of the safes open ... and what does he use
they make vids documenting everything for YT, the money one he said was easiest cuz it already had a rusted hole in the bottom so didn't require as much smashing as he expected lol
if you watch diff news clips from diff countries that can happen, as reports are often localized & YT has yet to implement a strict location details requirement for thumbnails / titles to list.. this os from an Australian news acct which uses ~conversion in the title, so currently $100k USD = $150k AUD.. 💱
Maybe this dude was the thief who tossed that $150,000 into the lake to dodge the cops and now he's pretending to find it on camera, acting all lucky! But anyways, can someone hook me up with the dopest magnets available for magnet fishing?
But you could be right on the money no pun intended yes it's possible maybe they were involved in a bank heist or a Brinks truck robbery and didn't want to have to live in fear of it being legally traced to them and so yeah this would be the perfect way to still be able to have the money legally ... you could be right
As long as 50% of the bill is left the Feds will accept it in exchange for new bills, that's what I was told. Congrats and don't forget to give some away.
Okay so turns out some money was too damaged to recover but the couple estimated it has around 100k, since there was no crime committed police basically said finders keepers and let the couple keep it
Yes journalism isn't what it used to be because in the past a good reporter would have asked them if the safe was already unlocked and if not how did they open it so quickly ... what did they use .
nearly every hobby has groups which reward the best among them lol there are also websites where you can easily custom order championship belts for literally anything long as you design it so it's probly from such a hobby group they are in showing their efforts have been recognized by their peers 😄
As badly damaged as the money is they do not know for sure and they said in the other story - - - Up to $100K. It will be up to the federal gov. to determine the total. Kinda silly up voting your own comment. Shalom
an Australian news acct uses ~conversion in the title, so currently $100k USD = $150k AUD.. 💱 the police already said they can keep it & so they are taking it to the official cleaning service for US currency 🤷♀️💵🚿
@@SimbiAni Taking it to the official cleaning service for US currency? I worked for the Govt, for well over two decades, I collect coins and currency, and have for over 60 years! I have dealt with The US Mint, The Dept. of Treasury, currency and coins, Bureau of Engraving etc... Your comment (official cleaning service) is laughable, there is no such thing!!! And money laundering does not count!!! LOL!!!
You do realize that if that money is from a bank heist or Brinks robbery it could have been traced back to them ... and so if they didn't report it it could have ended up getting them put in jail and linking them to a robbery where maybe even people lost their lives ? Implying that all sistas should be dishonest like you is not really something to look upon as wonderful .
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington DC, will replace that money for them. The bills don't even have to be complete - even less than half a bill can be redeemed. A local bank (especially since it happened in NYC) can also do it for them.
Well since the authorities determined it wasn't linked to a crime there's going to get their fair share of that money he's got to turn it in in Washington DC where they will replace the battered beat up bills with newer money
