I don't think it was intended as rude but I also I do not think that it was that silly a question. Maybe their house was not wired for electricity. And it would be even less silly if they had already told the tourists that that they didn't have any Plumbing. If I would have to choose between the two, I would choose having plumbing over electricity
Not sure why that would be considered a dream job. Guess it would be sorta cool at first but after a few months, the novelty would wear off. I’d be like “I have to get off this damn island”
where is this awesome place? I would love to go there. What state is this in? I could be there all summer by myself, easily. I am a musician. I could get so much done there! Is that on the ocean or great lakes?

Yes laziness does play a role but anyone can search anything they want online, you're correct, but what will that do to our lives?
