Eclipse is just so good. She goes HARD on that song. She wanted to explore that “darker” side and she did it so perfectly. We stan an amazing artist.

Eclipse!! It’s a freaking masterpiece! My favorite of Byul’s solo songs.. Darkside of the Moon is probably my favorite of her solo albums. I love the black military outfit and the camo pants outfits. Lunatic, it’s a bop. And the lyrics are really good to. Lunatic is the title track from the album Shutdown is on; G999 and Shutdown were first released as singles before the album’s release. Duu Duu also has a special clip to it. Absence, Illjido and Snow also have mvs. Byul is Soo versatile. Everyone one of her solo albums are different from each other in feel and genre but it is still very much Moonbyul. It’s no wonder why she won Second World. And Byul pulled off the red hair. Though black, blonde and silver are my favorite hair colors for Byul.

They only needed to react to Cheese in the trap, Moonbyul's solos are the most fucking interesting thing, they have very divergent vibes, all of Mamamoo is too versatile, they are not afraid to try new styles, I honestly regret not having met them sooner

It's difficult for a fan to guess what's going on in Moonbyul's creative mind. She consistently outperformed herself in order to demonstrate different aspects of herself. You never know whether her next album will be swag... cool... bubbly... sweet.. omph..

it's just so amazing how every solos sounds so different from each other yet when they come together as a group, their voices sounds so good and cohesive??? like they have so much individuality (which you can see in their solo works since they have strong control over the production and direction of their music) but they melt perfectly as one in the group. when i say stanning mamamoo is enough for me, i rlly mean it. it's like i'm a multi atp. i'm stanning a group and 4 soloists at the same time. it's crazy!!!

the english translations for lunatic are actually kinda different from the korean, the "i knew i wasnt like the other girls" is "my mom gave up on me since i was young" in korean!

eclipse was the first of moonbyul's solos i saw and from that moment forward i have pledged my undying allegiance to this one woman, nay, demi-goddess

after lunatic, she released another title track called cheese in the trap so that explains why there's like a small door at the end of lunatic.

Eclipse easily made my SOTY List. I was present with the birth of Synthesizers in the 60's, and if you can re-listen to this without focusing on the Vocals. This is a stunning work of the Instrument. It adds to the Dark Punch of the song.

Eclipse is by far my most often watched Mamamoo solo M/V. The "You'll die for me" light side look, transferring over to her "I'll F'ing kill you" dark side look is always amazing to watch. It is the perfect example of he "Lunatic" line about switching from I to E (the MBTI reference). Great reaction ladies. Keep up the good work.

They are international treasures. And Moonbyul's fan base seems to skew younger than most. Eclipse is ICONIC!!! No one could have done that better. Eclipse remains one of my favorite solo comebacks. Literally one of my most listened songs ever! Dark Moon rules everything! Absence still remains my favorite song from her. Overall her solo style is my favorite.

In your twitch session you might want to listen to the b-sides on Moonbyul's Dark Side of the Moon and 6equence albums and if you haven't seen it yet watch the premiere performance of the song Moon Movie from her solo set during MMM's 2018 4 Seasons S/S concert, which was included on Dark Side of the Moon. In my comment under your Hwasa/Wheein/Solar vid I said that imo MMM is taken for granted and as successful as they are they're still underappreciated. These 2 songs are a perfect example. How is that neither song cracked the top 100 in the weekly Gaon chart and Moonbyul failed to earn a music show win for either of them? That's so neglectful it's criminal. In 2020 Moonbyul released the Dark Side of the Moon album, Hwasa released the Maria album, Solar made her official solo debut with Spit It Out, and tho Wheein was sidelined for the first part of the year due to illness and anxiety issues and didn't release an album she did record two masterpiece OST songs - With My Tears and Shine on You. Oh, and the group released the Travel album, which featured Aya and Dingga. In other words, they released a shit ton of fantastic music in 2020 but Maria was the only song that was a hit. 2020 was the third year in a row where Mamamoo blew everyone else out of the water artistically but weren't rewarded with the level of sales and year end awards achieved by the most popular groups.

Eclipse is just visually and vocally amazing, I'm so happy you guys covered this one! Loving all the Mamamoo and the members' solo content you're getting into, keep it coming. :)

If you want to react to ABSENCE. Its part from the Repackage Album Dark Side of the Moon. Its the total opposite of Eclipse and you can see the Vocalist side of Moonbyul.

It was even good that Eclipse was released in Feb. 14. (For singles out there) It's like having a date with Moonbyul at that day and those lines in the song makes it more romantic for the fans.

Eclipse is one of my favorite song of all time. not just kpop song, I just love it so much. this song and SCREAM changed my view on music composition. I LOVE THESE SO MUCH.

You'll want to watch a variety of live stages of Eclipse. It's different when she there as Monster or Moonstar, and doing the quick footwork in combat boots, when she's in the army uniform is awesome. Also I can't help but think about Solar when she talks about the moon covering the sun.

How interesting that you called a part of the song "SM-esque". It may be intentional for Moonbyul's part because growing up, her favorite groups are TVXQ and Girls' Generation. She even said that she wanted to go to SM after watching Girls' Generation's Into The New World music video. She followed Taeyeon's footsteps and even went to SM Academy just like Taeyeon. Moonbyul said, "TVXQ was my idol, and in building my dream, Wonder Girls and Girls' Generation played a big role, and Taeyeon really made me have that dream..." Hence when she appeared in the show Amazing Saturday where Taeyeon is a main stay, she really cried. It must've been an experience meeting the person who made you chase and achieve your dreams. As someone who have been a kpop fan since 2nd gen, I can clearly see TVXQ's (primarily U-Know, her fave member) influence towards Moonbyul, especially when it comes to dancing. She has this style and way of dancing that really reminds me of U-Know in particular. I know I said a lot but I just felt like it would be nice to share something that would make you know Moonbyul more. ^^

I felt the same way when reacting to those songs from Moonbyul. Utterly FANTASTIC! I'd recommend listening to Absence, Love & Hate, Half of Half, Trying to say Good-bye and My Moon. However, I could go on and list a number of other tracks. 6equence and DSOTM are both great! Punch's Weird Day featuring Moonbyul is also another top quality song.

Eclipse is my favorite Moonbyul Solo, all for of them are unbelievably talented. Another good Moonbyul video is Absence. Check out the groups OST songs as well, they are epic. Mamamooo does not have many rock songs like this, My Star is a good one, they do some rock versions of songs but they can definitely do it well. Yes there are other good groups and talented performers but Mamamoo is just next level and few reach that.
