I’m probably stating the obvious but I feel like a big part of why they haven’t gotten married is because the guy is actually doing well for himself or has a wealthy family and thinks of the girl as mooching off him so there’s either been talk of a prenup and/or it’s just been a cause for stalling the marriage. So her stealing money from him fits into his preconception of her and doesn’t really bother him, whereas him hiding money from her reminds her of his preconception of her (and also of a big part of why they haven’t gotten married) and therefore does bother her

Let's not forget there is obvious implications that she cheated on him. Usually questions are just things the person has DONE that are questionable, not attacks on people who came to watch. That’s awful! I felt so bad! I just thought what if that was my brother who is a really outgoing and friendly guy but sometimes has difficulty getting his thoughts out. Cause his brain is going faster than his mouth can and it gives him social anxiety sometimes cause it makes him feel stupid when my family used to poke at him all the time.
