We compiled some of the most Extreme Couponing moments from season 1. Rookie couponer Amber heads to the supermarket with her family to buy groceries, worth almost 3000 dollars. Her massive shopping breaks the register - how will the shop react to this? Then we have Scott who likes to call himself the Coupon King and goes for a last couponing haul before the family's second child is born. His stockpile already consists of more than 25,000 diapers, but this is not nearly enough for Scott. Lastly, Chris is on a mission to purchase a further 700 items for his donations to various charities. Will a problem with the supermarket's till stop him from purchasing the items for free?

I am an extreme couponer and what this show doesn't tell you is that there isn't a store left in the country that allows that many coupons in one transaction, or how they had to contact the store and have everything set up ahead of time so the cashier would accept them. Extreme couponing doesn't work like this anymore, unfortunately.

Now it’s like 37 transactions no 4 same coupons on the same transaction but it can still be done just have to be even more accurate in the process

I wondered about this because supermarkets would go out of business if it was this easy. I use the word 'easy' loosely because it would take a lot time and effort to do it.

@@amyrivers4093 right! And the fact that they're bringing up pallets of stuff from the back also tells you this was all planned in advance. It's so hard to get a store to order extra for you these days because of the limits the manufacturers put on the coupons. Some have literally limited theirs to one per trip/transaction and most stores are honoring those rules. Not to mention that the majority of cashiers have not been properly trained regarding the verbiage on coupons. They think that one per item means only one can be used. It's very frustrating sometimes. I never thought I'd see the day that P&G would no longer have coupons in the newspaper, but here we are. There's going to be more to follow I'm sure. We will keep adjusting to whatever they throw at us 😊

@@lindasoderberg9477 yeah but they said they donated items from shopping in that episode not from their stacked-to-the-ceiling pantry. at the beginning of each persons' story they say that their pantry always looks like that. i'm assuming they're one of those people who don't believe in bacteria and science and say "sour cream can never go bad, what can it do, go sour? 🤣

I don't think that it's hoarding if they use what they buy and rotate it. One couple donated it all and one was preparing for baby number two. The people who buy massive amounts of food and toiletries that they won't use in a month of Sundays need to rethink what their purpose is.

The sad irony is, that if he spent as much time at any job as he spent with coupons, he'd earn twice as much from from any job as he saved spending coupons. For every hour he spent clipping coupons to save $0.25, he could have earned $15 or more by working.

You are sadly not considering the fact that an experienced couponer can save way more than 15 dollars in an hour. Also, many people obsessed with couponing consider the time they spend on coupons as recreation.

Ex-cashier here. Depending on the register, there may be a minimum quantity to use with that button, and most don't work with coupon barcodes.

Now it’s all about the digital coupons. I shop at Giant and routinely come home with 30-50% off my grocery bill just by utilizing the app and digital coupons. I spend about one hour a week going through the app and building my grocery list.

This was the episode that I knew this show was fake. I live in Arizona and shop at Frys all the time and they do not allow that many coupons at once and never did. They only did this for the show. I do miss the making all coupons a dollar though that was a great promo

It's a regional pronunciation. The UWM dialect survey is pretty cool. It places your dialect regionally as you answer questions. It's free and has maps if you want to wage war on the Q-poning parts of the US. 😉

Some stores use to let you use as many coupons as you wanted. Of course people are calling the stores and ordering items ahead of time, this is something that extreme couponers plan out long in advance.

Tbh if we had coupons in Germany, I'd also be extreme couponing. But those few we have save you just as much as if the product were to be on offer, they don't double or anything, so most people ignore them. I do love cashback though, but you have to be fine with handing your bank details to dozens of companies so they can reimburse you. The products are free, but you often pay with data, so that is that

My ex-husband worked at a paper recycling plant my sister-in-law neighbor and I would go through the Sunday inserts go to a neighboring town and order cases of products and go back the next week and only pay tax. I donated a lot of what I got

Im trying to learn my store does alot of instore coupons and then we get mailed in coupons so one item might me 3 bucks i have a 2 dollar coupon and in store has a dollar coupon so i buy tax basicly thats it
