Why might we be so afraid of slowing down? How can we connect more to the places that hold us, especially now?
Welcome to Courageous Conversations, celebrating the voices, wisdom and courage of women around the world - this week we're speaking with the delightful Dr Tamsin Kerr from the Cooroora Institute ... here's a little about Tamsin:
Dr Tamsin Kerr is a writer and artist who directs the Cooroora Institute so as to share the song of the earth through creative practice.
Previous lives include senior bureaucratic and academic work in environmental planning and social policy across all levels of government, as well as a family immersed in art and architectural heritage. She has a PhD in Conversations with the Bunyip and has given talks and readings around the world.
Now, she lives among the trees in the Noosa hinterland listening to birdsong and sensing the fungi. She is on the cusp of grandmotherhood. Her tree word art has hung in several galleries. She is a published poet, building emotive connection through her words.
Tamsin’s current project, in response to fires and contagion, connects women to facilitate better forms of governance that considers and cares for this more-than-human earth. www.cooroorain...
