Twenty-year-old Vincent DEHOUX is studying at the musicology section of Vincennes where he is also a practical work assistant. He has two passions: music and surfing. Thanks to the show, he had the opportunity to meet Iannis XENAKIS, a French composer and architect of Greek origin, whose contemporary music and political commitment he appreciated. At the home of the composer and architect, the two men discuss themes such as music, exile, political commitment, resistance, youth, the relationship between music and mathematics and art.The interview is preceded by images of the youngster playing the piano at home surrounded by his friends and then during his practical work. Photos of the war and of the resistance in Greece, sound and visual illustrations of the compositions of Iannis XENAKIS and bench titles of mathematical functions accompany the discussion. After the interview, the young student tells a friend the most striking elements of his meeting with Iannis XENAKIS.
