thing is with what dela said, there gets to a point where you can't just support them, whether she has mental health issues or is going through something at the moment she was obviously looking for attention (nothing wrong with that) but she has now got attention by lying about someone's death, and if we all gave her sympathy for what she's going through then she would have got what she wanted by doing something awful and would continue to do it. almost everyone who does something bad is going through it mentally, most criminals for example weren't in a good place mentally when they committed the crime, so they will get a mixture of support in counselling and rehabilitation and punishment in prison sentences. if all you give them is empathy then that doesn't help them, they end up thinking it was the correct thing to do. rather than "i'm sorry for what you're going through" it would be much more beneficial to robbie if you were to say "we know that's not true, and making up lies about things like that is not okay and won't get you anywhere, but there's obviously a reason that you chose to do that, and whatever that is people aren't going to judge you for it, and we'll try to help you through it" if anything, calling her out on it is more beneficial to her than blind sympathy, all that'll do it make her continue lying about things and eventually they'll catch up with her. whilst she might be going through stuff we don't know about at the moment you can't let people get away with that sort of stuff just because of that.
