Don't worry about not being able to compete with Courtney's raspy rock voice, no one else in the world can either. 😂 I think that if we're going to try and compare our voices to any one, we shouldn't start by comparing it against the best in the world. This is an absolutely spectacular piece of music. I truly love everything that Courtney sings. There is no one even comparable to her in how good she is, but I think this is one of her most incredible performances to date. We were all on a live chat with Courtney a little over a month ago, and everyone was asking her to sing 'Love Hurts'. That's when she said that she had already recorded it about 1.5 to 2 years ago. So she went looking for it and managed to find it on her laptop and played it for us. The reaction was priceless, because we were all stunned by by this unbelievable piece of music we were hearing. There were a number of 'OMGs' and universal requests for her to play it again which she did. The most mind blowing thing is that this is being played off of a laptop, being broadcast on a live chat over a cell phone and then recorded at the receiving end, again over a cell phone, and then uploaded to RU-vid. I can't even begin to imagine how jaw dropping the original digital studio recording is. It would almost be beyond comprehension. We're all with you on this Kellz. We've been suggesting that Courtney release this, at least to Spotify, because it is unlike, in the best possible way, any piece of music I've ever heard. We are also in agreement on another thing. Courtney has been recording for almost two years and, yes, things were brought to a halt by Covid, but can you imagine the musical treasures she has stored in her library. To put it in perspective, obviously this masterpiece wasn't among the top songs to make the cut to be on her debut album. Can you, even in your wildest dreams, comprehend how good those are that made the cut. I can't. 'Love Hurts', was recorded by Miss Li (Linda Karlsson), a Swedish singer and song writer that Courtney worked with for the first time in early 2019. The song was a big hit in Sweden and surrounding areas, but is not very well known throughout the rest of the world. Needless to say, Courtney takes this song to a whole new level from the original in this rendition, which she does with any song she sings.

What amazes me is she never seems to be out of breath. You are genuinely 'primed' as we are for Album no.1 and we haven't the slightest doubt that you will cherish every line, every moment, every movement, every soaring emotion packed second, every little reference, and it will always end too soon. Like a fantastic gift wrapped present we will put all back in its case, its wrapping, its space, and as best we can will calm ourselves so as to have our mind blown all over again 🤪 and again and again and again 👌❤ Having said that I am imagining now how sensational Albums No.2 & No.3 will be! Courtney is a live act in every sense of the word. That voice, from two years ago no less. I can only imagine what that sounds like if it wasn't streamed like that. Of all the work she's presented to date, to me that stands out as the most Janis Joplinish (is that a word?) song she has sung. Thanks to Covid we still sit here and wait for her to release some original work. And darn it, I missed her Instagram Live she did today at 3PM EST. I guess we'll have to wait until that's posted to see if she did any singing, but more importantly if she shed any light on what the future might be bringing. Nice reaction BTW.
Not much more to add about Courtney, Kellz, except to agree with everything you've said. I don't think it will take years for her to become a major star. She just has to get out of the pandemic restrictions, get on a stage and release her album and that will jumpstart her fame! She has put several originals in their early form on Instagram, and they all show great promise if fully produced. Courtney Hadwin Superfans has a good collection.
this was recorded when she went to sweden, its a Miss Li song which was a pretty big hit for her. Courtney sounds a lot like she did in AGT. Her style has tempered since. I don't get why all that work including Pretty Little Thing has been held back. Courtney would be internationally famous today. Courtney insists she is working on her Album. I suspect the target is moving faster than she can get the releases out.

Ed covered the how and why this song become known to us. And everyone seems to agree this is one of her best vocals that we've all heard. Why it's wasn't chosen to be release is told by Courtney that when she did this in 2019 that they decided her 1st released song should be an original and this was a cover by Miss Li, who graciously let Courtney add her vocal track to her Music that she had originally recorded this song with. Courtney also said a few months later she tried to do another take. Why? I'm not sure. Maybe to do it with a new musical mix. Whatever the reason she said it just wasn't as raw as the 1st time she tracked the vocals. Which makes me wonder if the 1st time she tracked it she did it in one take after learning the song. Some people are gifted that way, where the 1st time is the best time. Kinda like when you tried the growl and did it decent and afterward couldn't get it back lol. Btw, I said this last reaction too, your really are letting yourself go with these Courtney reactions. Shows how much you love her. She has that effect with all of us. Why did is not getting release is a mystery that we may never find out. Or maybe it will at some point. I can think of many reasons why, but I'd only be speculating irresponsibly. The only thing I will guess is it's contract related somehow. But that is only a guess, because nothing else makes sense to me.
