I'm going to be honest... I rarely like any new acts... I am an old school.. rock and soul lover... I was raised in the 60s.. and usually listen to classic rock... etc.. I have seen LOTS of AGT singers that I thought.. great singer.. just another bland singer... until I saw Courtney... I feel something.. I see something... I hear something in Courtney I have NOT seen in many many years... A singer.. with real soul... real heart.. real feeling for the music... she lives that stage... she owns it... she blows people's minds... she is something that if she can keep going.. without interference from idiot managers or people that try to change her.. try to maker her more main stream... she will change modern music... all by herself. We have to sit back and watch her life unfold..and I hope it's a great one.

I think she is way professional and planned every second of that performance. I've seen some of her other stuff, and she's a real artist. Beyond her years.

It is very easy to follow her. She was a finalist of the Voice Kids 2017 UK. There, you will see her one year younger. I recommend Nutbush City Limits (Tina Turner) and I Feel Good - I Got You (James Brown). For now, she is through to the Semi-Finals of AGT 2018. Nobody linked anything because there was anything to send you. In September, between the 4th and the 18-19th, there will be plenty to watch.

She’s actually still extremely nervous before, though you’d never know it. Simon’s comment was that he saw her before her performance and she was so scared she was shaking like a leaf, and then she gets on stage and she turns into a maniac! It was completely meant as a compliment, he loves how raw she is. The first time I saw her, heard her, the first thing I thought was “welcome back, Miss Joplin!” The way she works the stage - I don’t think she could keep still if she tried. Again, so reminiscent of Janis. She’s what the daughter of Janis Joplin and James Brown would be. Another of his perfect comments was “usually I sit here and give people advice on what to do to make their performance better. My advice to you would be don’t listen to a word I say. It doesn’t matter if you make mistakes, it’s your style. You’re messy and rough and authentic and I absolutely love you. Keep being you”. I paraphrased that somewhat as I can’t remember his exact words, but they were pretty close. He was smitten. Howie was smitten. Everyone was smitten with this little mouse that roared. She thought she was going to get buzzed off in the auditions, didn’t think she’d make it through. So glad she got the golden buzzer! Even as scared as she was during the live shows, it had to have helped her confidence a bit. As for winning the show or not, I doubt it matters much really. Apparently she’s got a record deal, and I’m not surprised. With as much as Simon loves her, and how amazing she is, he’s too savvy to let her get away! She’s got a career out of this, and she’s so genuine and so sweet - how could people not love her? She’s said she doesn’t sing because she’s happy, she’s happy because she sings. That makes sense.

This competition won't be done for another 3 weeks, or so. She only just turned 14 last month! Agree . . . Super-quirky, super-awkward dancing, like greats such as James Brown, Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, etc. who could also dance to the beat, but did so "weird-ish". Also agree, great combo or old-time R&B, rock & roll, etc from the 60's, 70's and 80's. She's just an old soul that would've fit better into an era 50 years ago with the likes of Janis Joplin, James Brown, etc.
