Featuring Yamaha CS80 and Rhodes solo. Came across this tune by coincidence - lovely synthwave theme - I used it to do a little improv on the Rhodes. Hope you enjoy it. #LinnDrum does the job and the #OB8 ads a nice ARP.
I know this isn't a request channel but it would be great to see someone do a longer video on the CS-80 making low bass and drone sounds, essentially just messing and making sounds you don't normally hear. This was great BTW, I loved their soundtrack for GTA V but my favorite album has to be EXIT.
Actually pretty simple - it already sound very good from the beginning - but the signal chain is quite good: pre amp and tape in UA - compressor in logic and 224 Lex in UA
Of course I picked the least favorite choice in a poll 4 months ago, but I'd still like a video on the midification of your CP70 very, very much. I love the airiness of your mixes, is that all due to the Lex 244 plug in? Somehow Linndrums bring out the best in reverbs it seems. And I can see why the Minimoog hits that string with you, its presence and clarity is irreplaceable. When I collect the OB8 I'll drop off the 808.
@@josesvintagekeys I thought you were referring to the ARP Quadra at first which made no sense, then I figured out you meant the arpeggio's.. Being able to pan every voice seperately is an amazing feat for mixing fanatics like myself. Together with the forgiving, gentle aesthetics of the OB8's sound you can really make an arp tickle. There's something with grainy harmonic overtones in that thing I immediately fell in love with. They blend so nicely without losing their place in a mix, and brings out the best in any delay. Those Fatar keys are amazing btw., I really hope they make them for a SH-5 as well.
