I dunno, guess it depends on the weight of fabric (in oz) and the thickness of the carbon fiber. Intuitively I guess that the fabric is lighter. Be aware that there is now a vinyl out, used for stick-on signs and such, that is successfully being used for covering these aircraft. It is lighter.

A trick: you can watch series at flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.

The full VW is too heavy for a Kolb Firestar. Perhaps it could be used on a Kolb MkIII or something weight-wise, but then it wouldn't have enough power (I think). I think maybe a 1/2 VW hopped up to 45 hp or so would work on a FS but am not aware of anyone using it. It weighs 87 lbs, while the Rotax 447 commonly used on the Firestar weighs around 90-95 lbs. There have been some flying with Generac 38 hp engines. Some of these engines have been hopped up to ~50 hp in aircraft. I think nobody is using them stock. Most have raised the hp some. What you are seeing is in the description. This video is not to teach you how to cover and airplane it is just showing a kit being put together. I do have videos that are designed and filmed to be instructive. Instead of your sh** comment try turning your volume down and if you need more instruction on that. I have a video on that also keep looking for that. PS I am an aircraft builder not a videographer or entertainer.
