Yes you are correct. Covert Operatives used to be 25 minutes long. The trailer was made at that point but we re-cut the movie to 14 minutes because it was difficult to get people to watch it at the longer length. So the trailer has some shots that hit the cutting room floor.

I'm not sure I know what you are referring to. What are chutes? Are you talking about the gun shots? If so they are clay.

I've noticed that you have added extra scenes in the trailer that isn't shown in the actual CO film.

The parachute is just green cloth over some wire.
