It's cool that you're trying to up the production value of the commander show, but my favorite part about it is that it isn't over produced. It feels more like sitting at a table with friends, than some other productions that feel like gameshows. I hope you can find a nice balance between production values and the authentic vibe.
I'm going to agree fully with this. I kind of fell off watching GK when it started moving more and more into the super-produced game show feel. They always had those elements, but I liked it better when it was saved for explaining complex interactions rather than all the time. I definitely like the comfy table vibes better than explosions and video game sound effects most of the time.
I'm inclined to agree with this, but I have to imagine that the decision CZ/GK made was that *more* people find the episodes watchable when they're more produced :(
Episodes are more watchable when they are produced. The reason why I like GK is because is focus on the game, other commander shows are hard to watch because they talk over each other, talk about something else, laugh a lot. I don’t know I like the production
@@emanueltalavera4175 I think it's less about the production and more that it's about the game. I think CGB does a good job of that as well, so I watch both. But I think the problem for me with some channels is when it goes off the rails to other things or talking about card leaks and stuff like that. I chose to watch the game, all I ask is that I'm able to follow what's happening. I fee like everyone has had that moment when the game has gone long and people stop paying attention as well, or you have to kinda fight for their attention to explain the combo you're about to do. I'd like to avoid that as much as possible.
The only important thing for me is that games are decently easy to follow. Some commander shows get very sidetracked in jokes and in discussing rules etc., which in a way is nice for having a 'real' vibe, but I always end up confused halfway through most commander shows. That's mostly down to me being a new-ish player, but that's what Game Knights and even Extra Turns have completely nailed
Thanks for being you CGB. I have always been impressed with how you have been totally honest with your followers. You enjoy giving us joy, but you also are honest in where you plan on going. The most important thing is you do what makes you happy. That being said, commander has been a blast to watch. Excited for the change and you're Cool
I was psyched to see you on the command zone. I only play commander or historic brawl, but I still watch most of your standard content because I think you are an entertaining creator. Can't wait to see the changes on the commander channel!
I like your content best when you have a mix of videos/formats and show what decks are the most compelling at that time. So lots of standard at new releases and around rotation, and trying other formats (esp. HB and Commander) when you don’t have compelling new deck ideas for BO1. I’d much rather see a HBrawl video than “well here’s a slight variation on Grixis”
Good on you for doing what brings you joy. I got into magic very late through Arena and it is the only way I can play magic. Commander is simply unfeasible for me given the social investment and time commitment. It is unfortunate that eventually you too will fully transition to edh but that's the way these days it seems. I don't typically watch tcg content which I can't play myself since it's not fun for me. I will stick around to support your standard videos. Wish you all the best for the new direction and chapter in the channels.
This is my same situation. Going to a store and playing for hours is simple not realistic for me. Life, kids, work and the simple fact of not having a group to play are things that I cannot change. I am happy to see CGB happy, but I will end my path when he stops doing Arena videos, I do not enjoy commander content
As someone who switched to only playing commander about 2 years ago but still watches you daily, I agree with your read on the situation. You do what makes you happy and I’ll keep enjoying the content and hopefully someday challenge you at a fest or something. You’re cool, CGB
i never played magic until my thirties, and started with Arena, but didn't catch the bug until finding The One In Best of One. Hell I never even subscribed to a YT channel before then lol. As soon as i got introduced to paper commander, my Arena playtime went from hours a day, to once a month maybe. I'm all for the commander centric content from one of my favorite RU-vidr's!! So cool seeing you on The Command Zone, and hope they have you back. Look forward to the upgrades with Worst Possible, just keep Ben cringe on camera lol. Best wishes to you CGB!
I don’t think I’ll ever transition over to paper simply because I can’t keep track of all the things Arena automates-untap upkeep, triggers, SHUFFLING (god I suck at shuffling) But the only format I play is Historic Brawl so I am STOKED for more
Hey, CGB! I'm a big fan of worst possible, you, Ben, Blake and Shae have a really fantastic show. I also watch Game Knights, Extra Turns, QFTJL, Quintessential, Cardboard command, Kingdoms, Scrybabies and others. I've tried Arena, but it doesn't scratch the itch, real people, real cards, real hunting for an answer is so much more fun in commander. I love the deck intro format you use - rule zero at its finest! I've seen some comments about worst possible that I couldn't agree more with, friends playing solid commander. I'll continue watching your commander content! Glad you're enjoying making it as much as we enjoy watching it!
I respect your decision to do what makes you happy CGB, everyone should try to live by that rule. I for one hope that your eventual full transition to Commander turns into Commander and Historic Brawl. Arena is the only way I get to play magic bc with work, wife and kids I don't the time or group to be able to play Commander. I'll be completely honest, I have tried very hard to not watch your Covertgocrew channel simply bc I know I would love it but also feel bad that it's a way of playing magic that I wouldn't be able to participate in. The episodes I have watched are amazing and always make me ready to purchase entire decklists, but then I find myself realizing that I would be purchasing a deck that I'd never get the chance to use. End of the day you gotta do what's best for you and I'll be happy for you and whatever the next evolution of the main channel is. 🤘🏽🤘🏽
The Worst Commander Podcast is perfectly paced at this point to me. Really tightly edited, just enough humour without distracting levels of cross talk, good relationship between players. Switching it up with guest spots, and maybe lowering the power level of some of the decks or using uncommon finishers could be ways to spice things up without messing with the formula too much.
Man, you are just growing us up with you through this MTG journey. I’m sure that most of us are really into soft expanding of variety, that couldn’t be handled by people when they just started playing Arena years before. Also, It’s the inly way in the longrun not just for us, to be advertised and exploring the deepest levels of decklists and ideas, as for you, to save and educate quality dojo, moving forward. No need to retire or kill Standard content, but just adjusting the volume of formats in channel could be the thing in future, not breaking as yourself’s joy, as a cashflow of YT. Shaking your hand❤️
I don't live near an LGS. I don't have 3 people to play with. It's hard enough getting one person to play with. It sucks that commander is taking over when I've got no way of even getting into it. And playing modo takes all the fun out of it. So it's really frustrating.
Hey CGB. I started magic by playing commander with my friends and then almost completely switched to standard when I found your channel. I believe this was a year ago ,you made a mono red deck with goldspan dragon, atsushi, fable, etc. Point being, I saw a whole new side to magic, where being good and winning a lot was not against the social contract. And I could play a LOT more standard than commander. And you've been with me this past year and I've really learned a lot from you as I've leveled up as a magic player. All that said I do feel like I'm fighting a losing battle when I read new cards made "for standard" only to discover they are actually commander cards. It made me kind of resent both formats, which is sad. If you move away from standard I will understand and I think most of us will. So good luck and make the content that makes you happy!
See, I like your Worst Possible Commander show better than any other format. The friendship, bander and flow works so much better than any other I've viewed. So many randomed and forced commander shows just don't feel so 'friendly' and flow well (your editor does a fantastic job of those videos). Commented before watching fully, your production of WPC content is great. Only minor sound and focus issues, randomly, but overall very well produced and flows very well. No awkwardness or cringe, like many other forced commander shows (where the players don't know each other).
Commander is also my favorite format. I was pumped when the commander channel started! I have really enjoyed your historic brawl videos and look forward to more. Very excited to see the channel being more commander focused. You rock dude! Keep pumping out awesome content. Also, I love the transparency you have with your fans it is much appreciated.
Keep it up CGB ! I actually started historic brawl during your "standard vacation" and I'm playing it most of the time now, I would gladly enjoy a historic/commander focused channel:) you're cool
I love commander as a commander player myself with a regular play group, and as someone who started playing magic through the xbox game MTG: duels of the planeswalkers, then going to MTGA, and finally getting a group to paly paper with, its far more freeing and viable to do many different wincons and game plans, i love seeing your historic brawl and love the more genuine energy you exude.
You, CGB, gave me a pass to Dreamhack Dallas last year during Baldur's Gate, which got me back into paper magic and was the start of my decline in playing MTGA. Now I spend several hours a week building EDH decks to bring to my LGS for game night. I literally spend hours, and have so much fun, designing, goldfishing, and playtesting in pods so I for sure get what your saying in this video. The lack of consistency is what I like most about EDH. (PS- Thanks for the Dreamhack ticket last year. I bought my own ticket this year if you'll be in town) :)
Hey CGB! What you said about growing up, appreciating your life, and family, it hits home. I think a lot of us --uhh "older??"-- folks get to a point in our hobbyist lifestyles where we learn how much we value our time, and want to spend it doing things that bring us joy, just as you said. I think if that's how your feeling, god speed and carry on with it. I appreciate your competitive gameplay but have also really enjoyed the transition to more commander content, which still, in my opinion, doesn't hide what you've become known for. There's a ton of expression and interesting interactions in Commander, and it just might well be the best damn way to play Magic---if that's your cup of tea :) Thanks for the content!
I love the Best of 1, Standard competitive play focus. However... I know for me... As much as I love all that, I truly love watching your videos for your insights, value, comedy and most of all, just a chance to hang with the CGBs. So, Do what makes you happy homey. You got my eyeballs. And I'll feed the algo where I can to help keep you in cheddar. Appreciate everything you've done, all you continue to do, and looking forward to the future my man. Strength and honor.
It was great meeting you at Command Fest. I've always said your content is always the best no matter what you're focusing on. I've been playing for years, watching you since like day 50 of the streak, and between natural progression and watching you playing brawl and then commander I've transitioned from arena to paper commander as my focus as well. Keep being awesome and I'll keep watching.
Hey CGB. As a cEDH/EDH-only player that experiences Arena primarily through your other channel, I think it would be awesome to eventually see you explore cEDH. I know you've said on this channel before that you felt turned off from cEDH because it has a meta you need to adhere to, but I think you'd enjoy it anyway because, honestly, that meta's fun. It's wide open. So many ways to attack it. Finding new ways to crush turbo naus is cEDH's version of finding new ways to crush mono red yanno? A good 60 card control player like you learning how to stax and control that format would be so sick. If not, no worries. I enjoy your non-Standard content Historic Brawl and Worst Possible, so I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever you enjoy making in the future. Your videos are good man. Cheers!
Happy to hear the news, pretty much all of it. I really like the Commander-Show and also am standard-tired for a while now. Trying out Explorer and Historic was only more beefed up nonesense on the opponents side for me. Happy to see more of the crew, and that this project is going so well. You guys inspired me to play some magic outside of the spiky Arena on a real wooden table an I really like it ;-) I‘m thrilled to see where your journey takes you, and happy that you go the route which is the most fun for you.
I've liked your content and appreciated your collaborations, but your explanation of the human experience, describing the journey we go through with magic in our lives, earned you another sub. I've gained tremendous respect for your honesty and the perspective you shared. Thank you for sharing this with us, and I look forward to seeing more of whatever you choose to produce!
Happy to hear the changes you’re making and will support you in whatever makes you happy! I’m just a statistic here but I don’t really play arena anymore (maybe a game or two a week, maybe) but I watch all your standard vids. Don’t really care for the historic stuff, but that’s okay! I enjoy being kept up to date with what’s happening in standard and following your journey and entertainment. You’re a good dude and I appreciate all that you’ve done for me personally, and countless others over the years. You’re cool 💪🏻
Bummer to hear this. Personally not a fan of Magic becoming a four player social contract experience. As far as Arena content goes, any chance of Standard Brawl? I’d play decks you make in that format, but Historic is just too many cards for me to think about.
This is great! I really want to like your commander show but I just can't get through it most of the time. Upping the production value will go a long way! Can't wait.
You have been a constant source of entertainment and inspiration for me, both as a player and deckbuilder. Wherever this journey goes I'll be happy to see it through to the end with you.
Loved the video and love Commander. I can’t wait to see the Updates for the commander channel in the future! Question, what is your view on Thassa’s Oracle in Commander?
One of the most educative things in magic has been listening to your thought process in MTG. The multiplayer format does not allow that and it would be a huge loss to the MTG content. Also it would not be possible to see you go through your hand and narrate it. I will miss this very, very much and new players NEED stuff like your MTG content. Thanks for all the good work CGB!
I love how MTG is a game where when you inevitably get tired of a format there’s another option for you. If this video would’ve come out two months ago I’d be sad but now I’m happy because I’m really getting into commander and accepting that I’m tired of Standard. It’s good to see it’s taking you less time to make this decision than me but I hope you keep enjoying playing Etali in Standard and see you play more Commander and Historic brawl. Thanks for entertaining me now for two years now and I hope you’ll keep enjoying entertaining us and making us smile with your videos.
I've been playing Arena for about six months, made mythic the last three of them, this one with my dumbass black white clerics deck. I'm still having a lot of fun with it, but if I'm still playing daily by the time the rotation happens I'll be pretty surprised and a little disappointed in myself. That being said I absolutely can't imagine going mythic for 4 straight years, that seems tedious as hell. I love your Standard content, and I've learned a lot about the game from this channel, but you seem like a cool dude and there's no point in doing something you don't enjoy when you could be doing something you do enjoy. Also once you stop making regular mythic viable standard decks multiple times a week, people are gonna have to either be creative or try to make Seth's ridiculous nonsense work, and both of those sound funny to me.
I came back to your main channel when ONE came out and I’ve really come to love the historic brawl content you’ve been releasing. It brought me into the format and I’ve loved every second of it. I can’t wait to see more and I’m also excited to see how far your commander show will go as well. :)
I've seen in your most recent standard videos that when the meta is less stale and you get to try out new things you seem to be having more fun and light up a bit, so I guess standard comes with ups and downs. I think I enjoy your CHB videos the most, although I am not a big fan of the whole paradox engine strategy, but I wouldn't skip a video over it. The format is indeed fun and the dynamics are different in both standard and commander which makes it perfect imo. I really love commander but there's a lots of ifs and buts involved. I think you are right when you point out that the right playgroup is pivotal. What are your budgets? How competitive are your decks? For what reason do you play? If you find likeminded people who are willing to make it a fun experience for everyone then I think you found the sweet spot. This is pretty hard to find imo. Furthermore, I realise in my own experience that my decks have become increasingly competitive over the years and that that is usually what players are after. It meant I forgot why I fell in love with this game as a 12-year-old Dutch boy who was not good at English and didn't know shit about the game. I fell in love because of the art, the mystery, the myth, the sheer joy of having the biggest fatty on the board. So what I really desire is not having a stronger deck but a more enjoyable deck. Then, since last summer I found a group of players who play commander where only cards from Alpha to Alliances are allowed (P9 is banned apart from twister) and you can use any creature as commander, rather than only Legendary creatures. There are a few house rules, but overall I am that 12-year-old boy again who drools over very creative and cool art and who is in love with the game again. I think in the end that that is what matters most :)
Your game on Commander Zone was the first commander game I watched to the very end - I tried to watch The Worst Possible Show several times, but never managed to finish an entire game. So, whatever they did on that show, it worked - the game was dynamic, fun and easy to follow even tho I don't know 95% of the cards being played, as in TWPS I always end up tuning out... (I meant this in a constructive feedback).
As an older player coming back to Magic, going Mythic with pet decks was all I needed. I’m not out to qualify anymore either, I don’t have time to consistently play. Commander brings me joy, I prefer it to all other forms now, in less than a year of playing. Historic Brawl is how I play Arena now too. I’m a conceder, play solitaire on your own, I want games to be competitive.
Thank you for sharing growth is exciting and thank you for all the content your videos helped me during some tough times and I love seeing people evolve.
The part where you talked about evaluating new cards is so relatable! I've felt my desire to play standard go down and down but enjoying how far I can stretch my wildcards with HB. I just love how many different decks you can build and adding fun cards that could never work in standard is really awesome I'll still enjoy going back and watching your old uw control decks though :) Also! Do you think it will ever be possible to feature Arjuna on the Crew channel? Would be really sweet if you could bully him to become an edh gamer :)
As a new player, its absolutely difficult to enter EDH from the very beginning, theres a million cards, million combinations, standard its easier in this matter, the same cards, not so many combinations... Eventually I'll make it to pioneer, and therefore EDH i think that's kinda the natural pathway nowadays.. ive been playing for about 8 months now. You are an absolute inspiration
I don't like standard, or any of the 60 card formats, at all and only play commander myself. However, as someone who came to the game in 2020, i have learned incredibly much from watching you be brilliant on arena. So as long as there is a video of you every so often that shows how you do clever stack or priority interactions on arena, i will be happy :D your commander show is my favourite, together with quintessential commander. Keep up the good work
I've been watching Command Zone for a while and your appearance on Extra Turns had me fist pumping and hastely tapping the video 😅 Still the One in best of one 👊🏼
Never giving up on you! And I don't think I speak for myself when I say that. Love your content, doesn't matter what format. Great update as always - super self-aware and insightful!
A commander focus is dope!! I started playing kitchen table magic, then was introduced to commander, and then standard. Started playing arena during shutdown, and my regular play group for commander disintegrated. Areana/standard is fine, but commander is the spice of life! Thanks for taking a pic with me in Vegas!
I am excited for all of the content that you are creating. I am more excited that you are leaning towards Commander now because I also have to given up on competitive 60 car format.
It's really interesting to hear you go through the same sort of evolution in MtG that I did. Im no content creator nor competitive player by any stretch but hearing you talk about your trajectory and path put words to something I've experienced but never really considered until recently. Keep doing what you love because it's made for the best content ❤
I was so glad seeing you in the PPR! I really understand the burnout from Arena, it's like they really push the commander format but Arena is not meant for it. Paper and Digital have a weird tension
I certainly saw your game in Extra Turns, really funny and entertaining. I love your content, I'm mainly a commander player but I like your main channel, that said if you go to full commander I'll be glad, do you whatever is best for you. I love Covert Go Crew, I think is the best content you have today, so yay! to the improvements. But most importantly keep doing content, as long as you do that, you'll have followers, cause you know what? You're cool.
I'm glad you are finding that joy again with commander, but most of us that watch you don't have a play group OR physical cards (we're on Arena). I hope you keep making Standard videos in earnest for the time being.
I am no content creator, but I do notice how the audience is usually more eager to watch and consume content of those who are in a more positive mental state, enjoying themselves. Because if something is resonating with you, it also means it will resonate with someone else. So I think being honest about it and slowly changing things is a great idea. Changing too fast and people might get confused because they didn't know what to expect, and obviously ahen things change it might mean the new content might not resonate with the same people the previous one did. But if you cultivate the change in people's mind, then they will more easily accept that change. Because of that I think the sparkled Historic Brawl (HB) videos worked really well, especially that "month-break" where it was filled with HB content. It's a change, but it still has your spin on things. So, I like where things are going because Historic Brawl has also been my favorite format in Arena for a while, and I think that won't change because of how better it feels for the economy too (only having to spend one wildcard per card is great!). I'm excited about what you'll come up with next time in HB \o/ and hopefully once Wizards see this bigger influx of players for Historic Brawl they add some extra support for it (if there is a big influx, which hopefully there is). Have a good one!
That Eminem reference honestly caught me so off guard 😂. But yes, I'd love to see more HB and Commander content! Who knows? Maybe Arena will notice you switching to HB and maybe provide a ranked queue for HB!
I definitely prefer the vibe and feel of Worst Possible over the Command Zone, for my own personal preferences. Every time I watch the Command Zone I feel like I am watching a commercial, versus the Worst Possible where I actually feel like I am watching something closer to my wants for a Commander game.
I have followed you for some time now, even before "The Worst Possible" due to the great value you bring to the community, and this is despite me being a Commander player. So you going in this direction, and adding more value to Worst Possible is music to my ears. I'm looking forward to deck tech commander videos. Keep it up CGB.
I really like the production quality of The Worst Possible Commander Show, and I find myself watching and following it more than other shows out there. The pacing and atmosphere seems to flow better than many other shows.
I have been watching your main channel videos for almost 3 years now and i watch basically every single one, standard or historic brawl. I enjoy your competitive nature a ton, it reminds me a bit of myself honestly XD. Either way ill watch whatever content you make, arena or more commander focused. A suggestion i thought of while watching the video was to recommend maybe doing either drafts, events or maybe even more meme decks a couple days just to help keep things fresher for you. I would watch you on ranked or just in free play trying to make infinite etali triggers.
It's all good CGB do what makes you happy. It's your energy during the games that keeps me coming back. I would love to see you play commander with Brian and Olivia over at Commander at Home.
Hype for more brawl. I love how you get to just see so many more cards and different interactions. Standard is great for optimisation, but especially in this late stage when you can pretty much always know what the opponent will do with such high consistency you might as well be playing Sparky. Unless ... maybe every game against mono red has been sparky this whole time. It explains so much.
So glad to see this update. I have enjoyed the standard content for years, however ever since I saw you play historic brawl and commander I've been wanting more and more. Can't get enough. I'm here to stay! Love the content man! Glad you're playing the game to enjoy the game after all this time and evolving the channel.
This whole video hit the nail on the head. I played magic a lot when I was younger, but eventually work and life responsibilities caught up and I decided to take a break. Somewhere along the line I sold my card collection, and now it is too daunting to get back in to a standard style format. But, I can pretty easily go online and put together a fun commander deck or two and have fun playing again. I'm a huge fan of your brawl content and find myself watching every video to the end. I watch your standard videos because you are a great creator and fun to watch, but the game itself is not as exciting. Just my two cents. Thanks for all your hard work man. Yorioooonnn!
You need to do what makes you happy. You’ll lose some of the arena base, but what you gain from going full blown Commander, will be so much greater. Commander is the future of MtG, no amount of nostalgia feels will change that.
As someone who enjoys both Standard and Commander content I truly hope you will be able to find a way to satisfy your need for content creation but also still be able to provide content for both formats. I definitely agree with your take on standard. I took a break for a couple years after a very diverse meta and then came back to a meta that hasn't changed in the last couple of months and came to find out it's actually been practically the same meta for a year or more now. It's very draining. I hope rotation can light that spark for you again. After my break from MTG I came back to a lot of change to much of the content that was being produced and in ways that I found I didn't enjoy it anymore. After watching one of your videos again it was like picking up right where I left off. Still the same CGB standard content but it seemed even better. I think that's one of the reasons your channel has continued to grow. That being said, I also enjoy commander content and have enjoyed your brawl content. It's also important for a creator to enjoy the content they create. I think it's awesome that you're expanding your diversity as it will definitely have a positive impact on your channel. I for one would love to be able to fill both my Standard cravings and Commander cravings on your channel.
As someone that was never into the competitive part of this game I still like it and for a lot of the same reasons you mentioned. Commander, however, wasn't really for me. Mainly because it took forever at times for the game to get to a point where I could play it again and after about 90 minutes I just found myself being bored with tat particular game (I have real bad ADHD). Historic Brawl, however, is my bread and butter. I wish there were more queues than hell and not hell, but it's at least something. It also makes collecting this game on Arena a Hell of a lot more affordable, as I only need one of everything.
Regarding the change to more HB on the main channel, I couldn’t be happier! You got me into HB in the first place and it’s about all I want to play anymore, so I am all for this change!
Really enjoy watching your content CGB. I have also grown very fond of The Covert Go Crew as well. Keep up the great work. I’ve played Magic off and on for many years and I learned a lot from you Sir.
Can say, as a long time watcher and subscriber I have noticed the difference in the decks you have been putting out. That being said I can understand the whys and am fine with continuing to watch the content because you find a way to make it entertaining. That and for me there is a lot of the meme of "I get that reference!" So do whatever you enjoy and I will keep being 😎
Honestly I don't enjoy the over produced hard cuts to interviews that the command zone does. The card zoom in and explanations are fine but part of the fun of playing table games is the flow. Those cuts interrupt the flow and cut the banter. I love your self-awareness and honesty. (Should've switched the order of these comments, but I'm too far now.)
Hey CGB, I'm a Patreon, but I'm hoping to keep my username hidden from that because the public internet is just SOOOOOOOOOOOO not cool comparing to your stuff ;) I figure I am a VERY niche viewer because I'm almost 40 and I've been playing Magic on and OFF (more off than on, to be honest, unfortunately). That all being said, one of the reasons I got into Magic, and more particularly one of the reasons I came back to understand Magic as a whole....: is YOU! I was a teen when I was on Grand Prix Lisbon 1998 as a teen - such a overwhelming experience back then! Still, all those years later I found myself remembering all those feelings. I don't know anything about Commander (ALL my friends left Magic like 15y+ prior). But I've enjoyed so much of your content over the last few like 3 years after getting my way back to Magic. Sir, you are cool. I hope you keep at the Bo1, even though for so many years I still feel (from my teen years like 20+ years since) Bo3 is the "true" way to play Magic. Regardless all this again - you are VERY cool. There needs to be a format that is faster and can give players a way to get into it without the time commitment. So: in conclusion - most interesting to me is your reads on Magic since I can feel you are fair. Hopefully Magic can stay fun/relevant/competitive until we die? What do you think? I would never have imagine that when I was a 12y old this single "Magic" game would command most of my life regarding to entertainment - which again, wasn't expecting that. Regardless, just cheers and thanks for all, ALL, your work. PS: your Historic Brawl stuff is HUGE to me, since I was so absent for SO MANY years in Magic, and seeing you comment the play by play decisions then is great ad informative.... Cheers.
The inconsistency of singleton decks kinda saps some of the strategy for me (and the way tutors and ramp get stacked to compensate is a bit boring). I sometimes find historic brawl entertaining, despite that, but four player commander is just too much noise for me, and generally feels overly casual and/or silly. On the one hand I like getting to see everyone "do the thing" but it often feels artificial- nobody wants to be the bad guy at the table and spike the slow player out. I really wish there was a middle ground, like 2 player, doubleton, 80 cards, with the command zone. I do really like how the bigger decks make more cards playable. 80 card yorion (and historic jank) decks always feel fun and fresh.
I don't watch your content for Standard, I don't watch it for Commander, I don't watch it for Historic Brawl, I watch it for you, and I know I'm not alone.
