Hi, and thanks for the questions, let’s see if I can clarify First, I agree with the comment on supplements and meds to go slow and layer them on The doses I discussed are optimal, but some folks won’t tolerate normal dosing, for different reasons. Slow pathways that metabolize supplements and medications, adverse reactions, reactions to the inflammation triggered when you start clearing viruses. Autoimmunity is another issue, improving immunity can increase autoimmunity. So the rule is go slow. A tough rule when you are in a hurry to protect your self! On the nose sprays - celllulose is a broad spectrum protector. Y,tool binds some of the binding sites but doesn’t coat as well, its better against bacteria than. Irises. But in the US it’s all we have. In saline you can make it yourself if it’s off the shelf, it’s easy. But use boiled or distilled water, and salt without iodine. The recipe is one cup of distilled or boiled water, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. If you are refilling an empty spray bottle rinse it alcohol or soapy water before reusing it. Neti pots are fine, These instructions are also fine for gulf war illness patients I will redo the podcast for veterans with GWI and other chronic illnesses tomorrow but it will say the same thing. If you want to see the isoprinosine study for respiratory infections here is the link: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5100179/. And another: link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12325-019-00995-6 Thanks you folks that transcribed my podcast, that was very kind! I’ll try to answer your questions as much as I can, and I appreciate you supporting each other . Stay safe!

You can pause the video to write the supplements down. If someone needs help, if you post a reply, I'll respond if I can. Bear with me, I have severe M.E. myself, so it could be awhile, but this is all pretty much standard M.E. protocol baseline treatment that you should know if you have M.E. The important thing was the Imunivir/Inosine & taking weekends off. You titrate that up slowly & be careful, it can cause terrible abdominal pain. Don't take it on an empty stomach vs. Liposomal Glutathione which is taken on an empty stomach, then wait 20 min. before eating.

good point, but an elevation of temerature from your baseline of 2 degrees is a fever - so if your baseline is 97F then 99F is a fever.
@kateringo3111
@kateringo3111 4 года назад
I have the same situation slovakia. Recently had a fever after consuming some contaminated water, and that was the first time in many many years. I think it means that our immune system is too weak to mount a fever most of the time. Maybe in desperation our bodies work up to a fever when its something that could kill us? I like what Dr. Klimas said. Most doctors don't pay any attention at all to an abnormally LOW temp!

Might depend on your level of stressors. I take both Liopsomal Glutathione and NAC & was told to boost my Glutathione higher, again...likely related to your viral and toxin load. If you don't take the liposomal form, I'd think adding NAC is a MUST.

@@helencochrane8237 The L- in organic chemistry usually stands for `Levo-' which indicates one of two possible configurations of the molecule. Thank you so much for doing this!:) I have a couple question though 1. if you believe you are already infected, do you have any good tips? Or does the same supplements apply? 2. Are these supplements only to be used during flu (corona) season or will they be helpful towards making ME patient feel better in every day life? 3. I've taken 1000mg C-vit for a 4 days now, should I continue or stop taking them? You talked about repairing cells before making them work, not sure if C-vit is making them work. Thanks in advance 🙌😷
@Poom553
@Poom553 4 года назад
if you are infected then yes the same recommendations apply, but if you have inosine/isoprinosine available the dose is higher 2 tablets 3 times a day for 5 days then a 2 day break and repeat until you are over it. Please understand we have no COVID19 experience, I am going from the antiviral impact seen in upper respiratory tract infections from other viruses, and the labeled use of isoprinosine in europe for herpes simplex. in the upper respiratory tract infection, they were treated for 7 days, perhaps a better recommendation, but i have many years of experience using the 5 days on 2 days off strategy for longer periods of time, so its not a bad recommendation. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5100179/ Your second question is whether the same recommendations apply for ME/CFS in general, and yes they do EXCEPT the isprinosine which is used differently. First, if the patient can get it I prefer the prescription drug that is available in Canada and the EU - it is formulated differently, it is tested through phase 4 studies, it is approved through the rigorous safety and efficacy requirements of the EU FDA for viral infections (not ME/CFS). It has never been through the US FDA process so we don't have it. So by prescription or the over the counter similar product in the US, the goal is to safely boost immune function. The logic seems good - ME/CFS patients have poor antiviral cell function, they have reactivated viruses (EBV, Coxsackie, HHV6 to name a few) and antivirals tend to be virus specific, so using immune boosting drugs seems the more reasonable approach (after all that is the reason you reactivate old latent infections to begin with). The tricky part that some of you have autoimmune diseases too, often more than one. Autoimmune thyroiditis, the autoimmune mediated form of fibromyalgia(small fiber neuropathy), that sort of thing. Cranking up immune function can also crank up autoimmune cells. So in this setting in our practice we still try it but go real slow, a half tablet once a day for a couple of weeks then twice a day etc. The maximum dose for long term use is 2 tablets three times a day five days a week on even weeks, then one table three times a day for five days on odd weeks. The person prescribing /watching needs to watch for gout, uric acid stones (rare but I've seen it a few times) check thyroid levels , renal function etc - again rare but possible to see changes there. Far more frequently is the sensation of flu like symptoms as the reactivated latent viruses you live with die off and stir inflammatory changes. So do you hear the obvious warning? When you start inosine/isoprinosine you might have flu like symptoms so dont assume you have COVID!. But the cough/lung symptoms of COVID are not a part of this so don't freak out, check out your lungs, your temperature and keep your cool! COVID aside, when you cross that inflammatory bridge, you have a lot less virus and the potential for your ME/CFS symptoms to improve. It does not work for every one , but some people have seen big improvement. and some people who do not tolerate the higher doses see big improvement with just one a day, five days a week. I would love to do that study with a big number of study subjects some day. One interesting thing, we have a study called the Gene study, where you can sign up and donate your 23 and Me data or your ancestry.com data. We are using that platform to reach out to people interested in doing distance studies and also keeping people in the loop about our other ongoing work. Its a labor of love, run on student energy, but we have 1500 people in the data base! If we could get to 5000 we should be able to say a lot more about genetic risk, subtypes, detoxification pathways, etc. so spread the word! Perhaps after COVID we could do a survey and see what you tried , what you tolerated, and what seemed to help. www.nova.edu/nim/research-studies/research-studies-pages/INIM-studies/mecfs-gene-study-page.html Stay safe!
