Wow what a fight! my third phase lasted 32 rounds. Your guide was great! Probably one of the best games I've played in recent years.

I wish I knew about the cherubs, I just spent 45 minutes hacking away at the boss and never managing to kill both the cherubs at the same time. I was killed with probably the most stacked team I have ever had (20 affinity on everyone, trinkets, huge inn item stockpile, quirks, food, you name it). So punishing to not know simple game mechanics.

Seems like Jester would be really good for this fight, since he can Encore the person with Face Your Failure to set up a quick kill.

Nice guide, but it should be mentioned that the Futility attack in Phase 3 also does a Shuffle, be prepared to deal with that unless you happen to have the Sleeping General trophy that immobilizes your entire party. Learned it the hard way, still manged to beat the boss but i lost a lot of turns due to repositioning.

Neat guide as always! Some feedback would be to maybe also include the setup for the fight in terms of particular items to be on the lookout for, what trinkets you have equipped, consumables you popped in the inn etc. :)

I faced Vestal's failure with the item equipped that dealt poison damage upon being hit. The dude having no poison resist (because why would he) got like 3 actions a turn and annihilated himself.

i love running the same comp as this but with highway man swapped for leper. Man-at-arms has te Bolster for 5+ 2x stress heal, and leper can stress heal himself and his self sustain would be good for last boss
