I couldn't even see some of those targets through the black powder smoke. I don't think it was the force that put you on target, but it worked out great. I guess I just realized how much fun all of the shooters and guests have. It was great to see the lady shooter she looked like she had fun competing, that's what it's about.
Hey, if you’re ears were burning this weekend that was just me bragging on you and your channel 🤠 I’m loving the new Jed I. Van! instagram.com/jedivanofficial?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Nice to have you back. In your absence I have tried to find a substitute....turns out there isn't one. You are by far the best CAS channel out there. Keep up the good work!
I sure do appreciate that. I also don’t know that there is a whole lot of call for CAS channels 🤷♂️ And I base that on the number of subscribers I’ve gathered over the many years I’ve been doing this.
Kudos to the organizers, for this fun match! Nice mix of stages. Some top notch shooting, too. Really like the camera cuts. Pulls the viewer right into the action. Like your new van, too.
Thanks! I’m working on getting the rest of the stages edited! And, the new van is fantastic… dare I say, “vantastic”!? Its been a dream of mine for a long time.🤠
Good to have you back, Jed! Just curious, for every minute of content, how many hours of editing??? Thanks for your hard work providing great content and also promoting Cowboy Action Shooting/SASS.
Thanks T-Bone, it’s good to be back! As far as how much time it takes to edit; each minute of finished content is approximately 1 hour of work. It can vary, depending on how much footage I shot and if I can remember what I shot 😉 For example, I might have filmed a piece that I know I am going to use (in this case Lawbreaker’s opening words about Runamuck) but, if I don’t go home and uploaded it onto my hard drive and label it that same day, I will end up having to search through 3 days of footage to find the clip I want. There are a lot of factors like that. Labeling the clips, while time-consuming, is important (for one thing it makes it easy to find the stage and the shooter and match them up when I’ve used multiple camera angles). It’s both challenging and fun (sometimes). But it is very difficult for me to be sedentary… and editing means a lot of time spent sitting (or, as I often do, standing) in front of a computer. “It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it”.
I had a bad reaction to the meds the doc gave me for my back. I think I’m gettin’ it all sorted out now. The break helped. I always want that breeze 😀 -Jed
The last shooter on the last stage in this video seems to have three shotgun misses. Scenario called for six plus shotgun and he only fired three. Glad you saved yourself from the dreaded "P" and welcome back, always enjoy your videos. You put a lot of work into them.
The instructions were 6 + or - (basically “as many as it takes to knockdown the 6 shotgun targets”). I think I did it in 4… I’m glad you’re enjoying the episodes- they definitely are time consuming to put together. 🤠
Oh My !! A new Jedi Van. That thing's bigger than my house! Congratulations. With no new video's for a bit, I've had time to think of new smoke dispersement options for you. How about wearing a pair of dive tanks attached to hoses, wild ragged to the underside of your rifle & shotgun? You could paint scenes on the tanks, like Roy Roger's guitar, to camouflage them from the RO.
It’s only slightly taller than the previous Jed I. Van. and the ength is about the same too. I like the idea of the tanks… but I’m wondering if that weight wouldn’t slow me down some… 😆
@@JEDiTV I'm going too. Been away a long time and just shot a match with the Poulsbo Pistoleros . very low-key. but want to shoot my old club ! I'm sure you knew my shooting mentor, friend and introducer to Cowboy Shooting Brian Howard ( Just Ducky ) Poulsbo was the first time since before Covid !!
@@nickjm37fordel1 - yes, I knew Ducky and shot with him several times. I think ol’ Wrongo (aka “Nobody”) shot that match with the Pistoleros (I’m gonna make it there one of these days!).
@@JEDiTV I hope you remember to let people know (Well maybe not), that's probably not a good idea for you. ( Star Status ! ). Would like to shoot with you someday. Maybe I need to come back to RUCAS :-))
Heck of a way to find out about Muck :( I shot after him all through the last Westmatch. What a learning experience. Hell of a shooter. Hell of a man. IJAFG. ❤️❤️
Yes, sometimes. It really depends on how fast I’m going and how close/large the targets are. Sometimes I just keep both eyes opened (other times I think they are both closed 😉).
Dear my friend Jed,/ I like shooting episodes that you do I know one time you mention about the Ruger Bacarro pistols I like the ones that you use I wish I had a set like them and matching holster with it which will be black and also I also like the outfits that you wear at the each matches that you go to Forest Ave Jed itv😮😊❤ what persona Wood US suggestions for me if I was doing it with you all though there are a Greenville shooters club here in South Carolina I am thinking about Dr. D or shifting what do you think about those persons well for one I’m not a doctor but I am a chef I would like to hear your opinion on your next Jed I tv from friends Dennis:::😮😊😮❤
Thanks for the comment Dennis, I’m glad you’re enjoying the show. As for developing a persona, I’d suggest going out to your local club and let that persona sort of develop naturally so that you’re comfortable with it.
