He was the only character that was more or less accurately portrayed in Netflix's Bebop. Some of the actors just not being up to snuff, some of the writing for characters and story being just awful, and a large part of the cast not looking or feeling like they could play the role they were given obviously didn't bode well for the series. I would totally watch a spin-off prequel about Jet tho

He was my favorite actor on the show honestly. Too bad the writers shat on everything and the producers didn't give a shit about the soul of the original.

Yes, he really was a Solid Jet, just his writting was terrible, i think, John Cho (?) Was the actor of Spike, he did a pretty good Job at playing Spike aswell, since he was the only one to actually watch the original and he poured his heart into the Show to make it as good as possible as he could.

@@miniondaechir @Minion Daechir I like making distinct differences between things I do not like, it also helps make a barrier between em in my head There is Cowboy Bebop and Netbob, theres Star Wars and Disney Wars Funnily enough I still haven't fully seen Cowboy Bebop, it has been on my watchlist for years but never got to it. With Netbob I could be the guy who has zero connection to the original and even without nostalgia or adaptation arguments that show was hot garbage. We are in episode 20 of the anime( I watch it with friends) and the worst episode of Bebop (the monkey episode) is better than the best episode of netbob(I am unable to say which episode is better or worse, they are all quite consistently bad). Similarly Gren in Netbob who is in half the season is barely a character while Cowboy Bebops Gren who has 2 episode is fully fledged character with a proper history

@@Unformed8 you've pretty much got the same thoughts about the fiasco as I have, though I've watched the original since childhood so you could say that connection made my deep disgust with netbob worse. and I think heavy metal queen is probably my least favorite bebop episode, followed maybe by the jet and chinese girl episode.

I don't consider him brilliant either, but I thought he'd make a great Jet provided he had any actual good script to work with. He also had the best performance in the show imo, though not exactly a high bar. And yes they absolutely butchered his background
