I absolutely adore your videos. When watching I feel like I’m learning something new from a good friend. Your explanations of why and how you do things is very precise, informative, and helpful. What a wealth of information you are! Once again, thank you Stephanie.
Nicely done again Denman's! Well explained, not rushed, easy to follow. Pepper jelly over cream cheese is a thing here too. Served as an appetizer. Thank you. 🇨🇦🙋🏼♀️❤️🇨🇦
Steph, I can't do things with heat but that looks good and I know my family would like that. I love how much Buddy is your sidekick he is an amazing husband and father and I enjoy watching him in your video's. Thank you for Sharing with us. I love your relationship with Paw Paw ❤and Kim ❤.
Looks amazing and tasty for those who CAN enjoy peppers. I can eat them and savor the taste, but get response from them for 1-2 days and not pleasant burps. I did copy recipe as nice to make for gatherings and like you did pour over block of cream cheese. So sweet how Buddy. Or at times, your children are the testers in you kitchen❤ Great video
Your peppers sound amazing . Jalapeño Candy I'm sure tastes great. That would be an awesome gift. Never tried it but would love giving it a try. Thankyou for your step by step instructions. You explain it all very well. You and your family have a wonderful long weekend.
Hi Stephanie! So glad you love " Cowboy Candy". Another way I use it is .. Put it in Chili. I have also added some to my meatloaf! But, cream cheese and crackers absolutely delicious! FYI, if you would like, you can also chop the peppers smaller. I can it both ways . Gives me options. The rings for the cheese and crackers. Chopped for any other recipe I want to add it to.
I just have to say…… I binged watched all of ur videos so I am current! I love you and Buddy so much! I love y’all’s relationship and how sweet Buddy is to you! I so wish I had a garden! We dug one up to start but then my father in law got sick so we didn’t do it! Wish I had your motivation to self sustain and ur canning skills! I have soooo many questions but this recipe I will make! I love spicy and love jalapeños! Keep the videos coming guys! Love sent to y’all from Matagorda, TX!
My mom served candied jalapenos over cream cheese with crackers. Usually at Christmas. We have a Christmas shop here and they have the best Cowboy Candy! I love it!
That's funny at home here in Rochester Ny it's called Pepper Jelly and I have made it and it is addictive also with cream cheese. Glad you get to experience the finer foods. Great job Stefanie and Buddy you are so supportive in Stefanies cooking. I like a man that is willing to try anything. To an Italian like me who can cook there is nothing worse than a picky eater. Lol. Love you two !!
@Patricia Spindle the only thing different is Pectin, the ingredients are the same except the thickener. Stephanie at the end of the video that she wants to find a way to thicken it. I have made it a few times
My family can't get enough of the Jalepanos. We make our own salsa, baked or grilled Jalepano poppers stuffed with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and bacon bits, or wrapped in bacon and fried. I've never had Cowboy candy but it sounds great. I also have a cousin that sends us jalepano jelly from New Mexico.
I was taught to always use a debubbler on anything you can even if it's liquid to be sure you have no air bubbles that can come up during canning that would cause it not to seal or to give you a "false seal"....also it is taught by the mason jar company to Always use white vinegar on a paper towel to wipe the rim of the jar so it is sterilized when you put the lid on to seal!❤️. I'm in no way an expert but these are 2 things I have researched extensively. I love you channel so much...especially with you and Buddy together. Y'all are a great example of a great marriage and family! Love you guys all so much and you videos are amazing❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤ I just want to say how wonderfully You are on explaining directions not just on the cowboy candy but all your videos .. Thank you you are so confident ... Even on recipes that you're trying for the 1st Time 😊❤
Stephanie those look awesome, and you have such a sweetheart of a husband.... You two are the perfect couple... Thank you for sharing your life and family with us...💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Sorry, but I am allergic to all peppers. I can only use black ground pepper very sparingly. I love the way peppers smell, but even that can cause a reaction. I love y'all and I will definitely pass this along to my daughter and grandsons ❤
Hello happy Sunday to you all hope your enjoying your memorial weekend. The candy looked so good just another one to add to the Denmans larder. Have a great day take care and God Bless. 🙏💕
Cowboy Candy sounds fantastic! I have purchased Hot Pepper Jelly at Supermarket and poured it over cream cheese served with crackers and it is delicious. I imagine the Cowboy Candy is the same thing only using fresh home grown ingredients. I really like the way you present your recipes. You don't rush through them like most chefs/cooks. Living in an apartment I no longer garden but I do frequent the Farmer's Market each week. I'm pretty sure Jalapenos will be on my shopping list. This will be a fun recipe to try.
Cowboy Crack is different Steph. It has cream cheese, spicy sausage, shredded cheese, frozen corn, and Rotel. Cook in slow cooker 1-2 hours, serve with tortilla chips. Great desert for holidays, block of cream cheese, jalapeno jelly over it. Or raspberry jelly over c/c. So many things you can try.
I use cowboy candy on / in hamburgers, meatloaf, drizzled over ham, mixed in hashbrowns, in omelets. You can also make a cheese ball for the holidays with cream cheese rolled in pecans. (I add Marciano cherries chopped up with cowboy candy blended with cream cheese as well) great video explaining how to properly can.
I’ve been making it for years. Great on lots of things. Hamburgers, cream cheese rangoons, pork carnitas and I put a couple slices in my corn salsa and coleslaw when I canned it. It just gave it a little kick.
Good morning Stephanie. This seems like it would be good at any gathering since you put it on top of the cream cheese with Assorted crackers would be good. Thank you for sharing and hope y’all have a blessed weekend.
Growing up my Gram use to make cream cheese with jam over cracks for a snack. For Christmas she did cream cheese with small shrimps and cocktail sauce over crackers
Yall could try it on a burger with battered deep fried onions bacon and ur jalapeño candy. U could even have an egg on it. Or a breakfast sandwich with bacon egg and jalapeño candy. I'm a chef a little cafe and we do different deviled egg every day so I think I'm gonna try smoked pork belly topped with the jalapeño candy. Sounds really good!! Thanks for the ideas!❤❤❤
Your gonna need a bigger kitchen storage area with all that produce! Wow! I cant do peppers but I was drooling watching this. I bet its outstanding! I saw a recipe that I thought of you. Its yellow squash cake from the 30s. It looks like cinnamon moist cake but you use squash and spices and flour eggs. Its on the internet as squash cake. The woman takes recipes "from the past and brings them to the future."
When we were growing up ,our mom and aunt got a terry cloth tablecloth and used that to put the hot jars on to seal . It was big enough to put a side over the jars .
Try adding some strawberry jelly with you pepper jelly with the cream cheese and crackers…it is a great appetizer and it will cut some of the heat from the peppers
Good morning Stephanie and Buddy! I've got an ulcer so I stay away from anything spicy but you guys look like you are enjoying it. I remember years ago when my mom would be canning...I knew how many jars she processed and I would sit at the table counting the pops that I would hear. When she said that it's time...if I knew that one didn't seal...I knew that I had to find that one and put it in the refrigerator AND we were able to eat it first. You have brought back so many memories Stephanie...I really appreciate your videos and I hope y'all have a great day and Happy Memorial Day Weekend! 🇺🇸 ❤️🤍💙 🇺🇸
Great job Stephanie!! I pickled jalapeños last year. Cowboy 🤠 Candy was on my list but I ran out of jalapeños. I got too many requests for pickled jalapeños and sliced pickles with jalapeños. Needless to say , we’re growing more jalapeños and pickles this year!! Definitely a hit as I’m sure the Cowboy Candy will be as well. Happy Canning ❤️
A friend of mine does our local Farmers Market and she makes jalapeno pepper jelly and jalapeno/pineapple jelly. I am not a jalapeno fan.........but the jalapeno/pineapple jelly is great with beef or pork roast.
Good morning Stephanie and Buddy! I have a question; do you think one could remove the seeds from the jalapeños for those who don’t like the heat? Have a wonderful, blessed Memorial weekend.❤️🙏
Definitely making this recipe! I’m going to use burrata cheese on toasted sourdough crostini w the Cowboy Candy jam. ❤it’s similar to my Burrata Pistachio Chili Honey on toasted crostini recipe. ❤ y’all
I make this every year but i mix my pepper types and use sliced garlic and ginger no chili powder... is yummy with cheese and crackers , eggs ... honestly i put it on everything even a hot dog lol
Thank Steph for this recipe I’ll definitely be making some soon since I love jalapeños so much , I know I’ll love this !! God bless and happy Memorial Day weekend !! ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
