Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott opens up to TODAY’s Craig Melvin about urging people to get screened for colorectal cancer with a new public service announcement with Lead From Behind. “That is my story. I lost my mom to colon cancer back in 2013,” he says.

God bless you. I am a cancer survivor as well, not colon cancer but any help in the fight against any cancer is welcome. People like us have had to fight cancer or lost people close to us to cancer, or like me both. Really puts life into perspective doesn’t it? How it cant be taken for granted, and every breath is a blessing.

I followed dak prescott since he became the dallas cowboys qb and heard his story about his mom losing her life to colon cancer. Never in my life would i have imagined that my mom would pass away from colon cancer as well.

❤❤ love this as a medical assistant in a colorectal surgeons clinic this is one of the most missed cancer an and can go undecteded .. always go and get screened.

It's so preventable!!! My Dad died of it. Despite having no symptoms I got screened & found out I was in Stage 3... I've been clear for many years... Get checked, especially if you have a family history of this type of cancer!!!
