The babies are looking good im so glad you are able to cut your own hay at least you know it has no chemicals and is pure and healthy i still cut by hand the old way but thats just me i love doing it take care stay safe and God bless
Wow, I didn't think that watching you cut that grass with that sickle bar on that tub with bring back so many memories of grandparents and neighbors who had that type of equipment in the late sixties and early seventies and watching them do that and the smell of fresh cut grass. You're the first person I've seen use that type of equipment since I was a little boy. I enjoyed the video a whole lot more than I thought I would thank you Danny for bringing back a lot of memories of my childhood.
There's nothing like waking up and watching this after a long weekend of 12 hour shifts at the hospital! I love it! Dexters, fresh hay, the simple but satisfying life ya'll live ❤❤❤ I was worried cause I didn't see your Saturday live video. Love and prayers ❤
It’s really brings back memories. We had one that cut the same way on the little cub. We cut the pastures and then bailed the cut hay. We had a square baler attached it to the Ford tractor. I don’t think there’s any better than fresh cut. I felt sorry for the cows because I think they were horseflies was getting after him, I was in 4H in Kentucky had the privilege of going to Chicago with a black Angus calf that I had raised on my own me and another guy from the same school we both won first place believe it or not we weren’t grand winners, but we got a blue ribbon we love the trip we were 14. We really love the trip for H was a good outlet for us country folks.
The cows are loving this grass you got for them. Their in grass heaven. Thanks for sharing you cutting the grass with the sickle bar. That works so good on the cub. A blessed night to you both.
I love the smell of fresh cut hay. I wish I had a perfume of that! Your baby calves know what good eating is. They were so cute pushing in to get their share.
I LOVE our sicklebar mower. My youngest son got a 40 or 50's model repaired & ran it on our 8N tractor. We're missing a thing or 2, because it shakes a lot. But the first time we cut a field, we're using a hay, it was so awesome, just laid it down beautifully. Now we're using a John deere sicklebar mower on our 1972 international harvestor diesel tractor, it's great too. But the grass isn't tall enough to cut for hay yet. I mowed everything so it'll be in unison-ish later. But we've got a baler we need to replace a bearin/bushing on, not sure what else, until we run it. You're going to have some great hay baled b4 long.
Thank you,Danny and Wanda. I doubt I will ever do and mail husbandry, but it is interesting to watch how well you care for your animals. Have a great day, stay healthy and stay safe. ML for such a wonderful and informative couple.I love seeing how well you interact with one another as a couple. May God continue to bless and keep you in all things.
I used to custom bake hay years ago it was so good days and some not so good lol! I have to admit it was the good life, I have and old cickle mower for my cub tractor but I don’t cut hay no anymore
It must be that so many people have gotten away from farming on a small scale that these new tractors don't have the same capabilities as that old farmall does. With all the attachments that tractor is a homesteaders best fiend/dream tractor. You can cut hay after you plow, cultivate, plant and cultivate to weed your crop then bale hay mow your grass that's not hay pull a wagon or drag things. I'm not sure how people make it without owning one! I think the A model and a Minneapolis Molin B maybe as useful but not sure if they have all the same tools attachment that the Cub has. At any rate that things more useful that a old school jack knife it is a swiss army knife!
@@pecangrovems 🦋🇺🇸👍 I live alone but I am preparing as much as possible. I am stocking up on empty gallon jugs of tapwater. I do have to get more but I’m on a fixed income so I have to wait till I get my Social Security and third. But thanks so much for the heads up.
Good morning Mr Danny & Mrs Wanda yeah them Fields look good.. cows was having a happy day.. it is amazing how that sickle mower just lays it down beautifully.. congratulations on new sickle mower make things a lot better when baling hay.. better quality hay for the welfare cows .. let's just hope they don't turn into bougie welfare cows.. LOL❤😂
First time in some time I’ve NOT heard the welfare cattle bellowing and complaining, but that’s because they are too busy stuffing their faces with food. 😂 I think I remember y’all testing out a mower and baler last year. The drought put paid to that, but at least y’all are getting enough showers of blessings to make hay now for later use. Putting by in time of plenty against a time of lack is prudent. Trying to grab everything in time of want is hoarding and stupid, because it makes you a target. I’m still praying that y’all get abundant showers of blessings WITHOUT any storm damage. Summer gets dry, and I suspect that the groundwater still needs replenishment.
