I wish we could all last another 50 years, because I never get tired of the Cowsills! They are truly a GIFT FROM GOD! They've been through so much... they are the Royal Family of Rock and Roll!
Wow! Fantastic performance once again. I got the chance to see them in March, 2019, at Indian Lake High school in Ohio where they were playing a sold-out show. The staff at the school didn't stop people from going into the auditorium during their sound check so a couple dozen of us got an extra show. I was sitting in the seats surrounded by their wardrobe, but I didn't notice it at the time. I was too busy taking in all that was going on. When they finished the sound check, they came down to get their clothes for the show. What a nice group of people. They were so kind. Paul stood and talked to me for about 5 minutes like we were old friends. Later, I ran into him in the hall before they were scheduled to perform and he slapped me on the shoulder as we passed each other. When they hit the sage, it was magic. I don't think there is any group of people who are so genuine and talented.
Louise, listen : when you're gone ( Maggie McNeal ), self pity ( Lucifer ), excuse me ( junior ), carousel ( Phil Trainer ), I will still love you ( Stonebolt ), if you could remember ( Tony Stevens ), rainy day ( Richard Young ), lover why ( Century ), reality ( Richard Sanderson ), Paloma ( Sunday ), sweet sonds oh! beautiful music ( Steve McLean ), me and you ( Dave McLean ), my life ( Michael Sullivan ), please don'y say goodbye ( Christian ), conversation, she's my girl ( Morris Albert ).
Thanks for posting this! I've only ever seen them on the Happy Together tour, and they just do a few of their hits, so this is a real treat to hear them do other stuff.
I can't watch ANY video of the Cowsills without getting choked up. I honestly think that the best thing that has happened to me in the past few years ( not counting grand kids of course ) was not only getting to them live at the HTT but then to meet them all afterwards and talk to them like we were "friends". ( SIGH ! )
Even now Susan is very cute chick.she could always sing great.even as a small young girl. but I always loved the Cowsills. Loved the Osmonds too.Great family music.
I wanted to update my comment since I wrote that. I know Susan and have talked to Bob and Paul once in a Zoom call. I will back up what I said before about them kind and genuine people. Some of the best people I have ever known!
This is great! Loved you guys since I was a kid...I love the flower girl! I'd like to send you a StringRay to make it easier to re-string those Bigsbys!
I agree 100%. Back in 2018, Todd Rundgren came in 3rd place in the popular vote to be conducted into the RnR HOF, and was not selected. I emailed the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and asked they WHY was he not selected? Their answer was, and I quote, "It was 1st his time being nominated." I emailed them back and said, "So what?" The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is so political
@@usmc-veteran73-77 It is indeed political. It is run by Jann Wenner from Rolling Stone Magazine and his group of old farts, including Dave Marsh. Dave Marsh wants to keep singers/songwriters out. No big deal. Neil Young only went to one of his inductions. And Joni Mitchell wasn't there at all for her induction. Burn it down and start again from scratch.
Hey Louise, just wanted to wish you a happy new year and I hope you had a very merry Christmas! Thanks again for all your hard work and for posting such amazing videos. God bless you and yours in 2019, and God bless these amazing Cowsills!
Wow 51st year in the business?! Amazing! Love The Cowsills! Would love to see them in concert however it would be very difficult to sit in the chair listening to all that great music!
Thanks for another Cowsills video. It's awesome, 50 years after first seeing the Cowsills on Ed Sullivan, they still jam. Susan sounds good to this day. And the harmonies are still great. I miss seeing John on the drums, miss that, and of course I miss seeing Barry. You've done it again Louise.
Excellent version of a stellar tune written by Sylvia Tyson, arranged for We Five by co-founder Michael Stewart, whose arrangement The (forever talented) Cowsills are, wisely, utlizing. Best Wishes.
The Cowsills are still fantastic. They all can play many instruments, sing harmonies on the fly and have the best music that the world still needs to hear!!
Thank You Louise Palanker for ALL of The Cowsill's Love you share in here! Obviously this is a Love of Labor but it does take time and effort and it is Much Appreciated from your Fan Base!! I go down Memory Lane many times and it's Always A Groovy Walk when I bring along some Cowsills! Cheers From Ohio
I have kind of a crush on Susan, and I think she is 2 years older than me. Its weird knowing people only from the internet. I loved their hits as a young boy. Saw their videos as an adult - saw what a cute little girl that Susan was, discovered that she is still singing. Saw she was a pretty lady. Searched harder for more recent pics and videos. Its like she grew up in one week. But I can still see the pretty young lady in her. So sorry to hear she was abused, but it sounded like she handled it well and even ended it by herself. Love you Susan! PS.....I did the same thing with Melanie, but she is too old for me, lol.
Their brother John is a really professional drummer too. He's been touring with the Beach Boys since 2000, but is no longer with them. It would be great if he could join his brothers and sister for a few gigs now that he has more free time.
THE SNOWHITE TOOTHBRUSH AD WAS ABSOLUTELY HILL-LARRY-ASS ! WHAT FOOL WOULD BUY THAT ? OOOPS - SORRY I OFFENDED YOU MY FOOL ............. ERRR I MEAN FRIEND. 9,999,999,999,999.9 K
Wow!!!!! Absolutely brilliant. It's so wonderful that Susan, Bob and Paul are still performing. I get so much enjoyment from watching their performances on RU-vid. Thank you for this and all your other posts.
Met them all at EPCOT - 2006. They were stunned that I knew their mother worked as a nurse's aide at Charlesgate Nursing Center in Providence, RI after their peak years.
The last time I "saw" the Cowsills was on the Howard Stern show about a decade ago. Howard seemed like he didn't want them on the show. They did sing one song.. Hair.. and Howard was not impressed. I thought they were great with just one acoustic guitar and perfect harmony. Maybe I will be able to see them one day.
The Cowsills are the best singing group besides The Monkees and The Bee Gees and should be in The Rock and Hall of Fame they are that good ! They have so much talent and Susan has a very pretty voice !
Wow. A lot going on there. Susan sang a very intricate song beautifully. There is a lot of pressure to do a lot of performance art on a cruise ship. I would have loved to see this show. I very much hope/ bet that I will see The Cowsills perform live . Soon. I will book a ticket on The Flower Power Cruise for 2023! Or if I can see them anywhere before that, I shall! I am in great awe of Susan and her brothers. They are unique.
I was reading some of the comments below. Everyone, I read, had good comments about them and that is a testament to the kind of people they are. I have not met any of them, but you can tell they are all genuine and nice. They show what class is. Not only do they belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but also in the Humantarian Division of the Hall of Fame if there is one. They deserve a lot of recognition!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ EXCELLENT ~ still sounding amazing and great ~ always had great harmonies & song style ~ Many hits and awesome to see them still together and still sounding great !!!
Yes. It is Bob, Paul and Susan Cowsill, Susan's husband Russ Broussard on drums. Bob's son Ryan on keyboards and Paul's son Brandon on guitar. Plus bass player Mary.
