Cox cable TV commercial attacks 5G Home Internet: "it's just phone internet, not home internet" 

It's a toss whether cox or comcast is worse. Any competition to cable Internet is a good thing.

I went from "home internet" (😆😆😆😆😆😆😆) To TMobile internet. My speeds went up dramatically up to 3-400 Mbps. Best I could get through the other methods was 25, tops. One day, they decided to rebuild the fence to the pasture across the street. Ran the tractor over the phone box. Was down 2 weeks while they got a technician out to "troubleshoot" the problem. I told them the phone junction box for this block of neighborhood was run over. They fixed my line. They came back three seperate times, to fix the other three houses that had internet through them. NOBODY in the 300 home area has a land line. Got tired of paying all the excise taxes to get party lines out to rural america WHERE Nobody has land lines anymore anyways. Maybe when Fiber Optic gets here I'll give that a shot. Gig servcie sounds good. They cut the roots of my Pecan trees up front running the fiber optic cable through my front yard 3 years ago. Last fall, they ran another cable down the other side of the street and put junction boxes in there. There are no plans to deliver fiber optic to our area though. Just contracts to bury the lines. Convenient. Two contracts, Two sets of lines. NO connectivity.

I sware there is a version of this ad that says that phone internet isn't "real" internet.

Cox needs competition they suck. We pay for 1G with Cox and have never been able to get higher than 250mbps. When you call them they always blame your hardware and cable modem. It’s a lie. I can’t wait to replace Cox. Even if I only get 250mbps at half the price it would be better.

I switched from Cox to T Mobile. My internet speed doubled in both download and upload and paid 25 bucks less for unlimited plan. Cox can suck it.

I have Verizon 5g. $25/month for life with a phone plan No tricks, no gimmicks, no price increases, no temporary discounts, and no contracts. $25....forever. Cox and the rest of them, as well as Dish and Direct, can go screw themselves. Oh, and that won't expire in 12 months.

True story, I hope Cox is monitoring these. I called them twice and every time they walked me through the same script resetting my modem. They didn’t address my primary concern which is I’m not getting close to 1G (all new wiring and DOCSIS3.1 modem). They tell me I need to buy their modem and I explain my neighbor leases their equipment and his speeds are worse than mine. Cox is the worst, they don’t have anyone working here it’s all outsourced and scripted.
