Coyote Buttes South is famous for some of the most visually striking and unique sandstone geological formations in the American Southwest. It is a section of the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness in Northern Arizona. To preserve the area, hiking in Coyote Buttes is limited through a hiking permit system.
In Coyote Buttes South Dinosaur tracks can be found (3:53), in addition to the endless fields of colorful rocks swirling across the desert. The nearby Coyote Buttes North area is widely known because of the famous "The Wave" located there, but the South Buttes present many other incredible surprises.

Great video! Those are some absolutely gorgeous rocks -- the colors and the shapes. You're right; The Wave gets all the attention, but all of these are stunning, too! And great footage of those bighorn sheep; they're amazing to watch. We were in the area a couple years ago, and we tried the advance lottery… failed… and three or four times for the in-person lottery… also failed. It was bad weather anyway, but still disappointing and frustrating. I'm glad you got in and got all this beautiful video. Thanks for sharing!

Quelle ébullition extraordinaire a dû se produire dans ce coin d’Arizona. Mais il en est resté un paysage tellement original . C'est vraiment magnifique. Comme les fleurs de givre sont jolies. Et les remplaçants des coyotes peuvent gambader et bondir , le terrain de jeu est si beau.
