@@rdy2run332 yea but it wont do it nearly as efficiently or smoothly as a coyote will and it weighs a decent bit more too. I know some guys just dont wanna give credit to coyote swaps and theyre traditionalists who want pushrod motors in them but the fact is a relatively stock motor and the smoothness and efficiency that comes with it can really make these foxes move out hard.

I was wondering same thing. My Gen 3 swapped coupe all stock says 3.9 sec 0-60 through the 10R80 and it has to be faster than this car lol no spinning here as I’m minitubbed on 325/50’s bone stock other than headers.

Be hard not to do some slip/spin with that kind of power to weight. But still awesome

His gears are great for boost with that trans. Being na 4.30s are way better for his setup. If hes going boost the current 373 gears are best imo. Possibly even 4.10 depending how far hes spinning it and what its gonna be trapping. A quick search for the gear ratio calculator tells me with a 26 inch tall tire, 1:1 4th gear and 4.10 gears out back the car could hit 150 at 8k in 4th gear. That just gives you an idea what it would be capable of which may be more than enough depending on what his car will be trapping even with boost. I just go by what mph i can hit at the top of 4th in the quarter mile. You just dont wanna have to hit 5th. The more gear the better with this trans even with boost long as youre not having to hit 5th before the stripe. He does mostly 8th mile stuff anyways so 4.30 might actually be pretty bad ass even with boost.

I dont think so honestly alot of pushrod guys will argue. I am well aware you can make this power level with a pushrod even na no problem. I honestly dont think you can match the overall driveability and reliability of this setup combined with the sheer speed its capable of with a pushrod. If you do get a pushrod to this level of power and speed it wont be near as smooth, reliable or efficient as this setup. Ive had both types the mod motors and pushrods and i am well aware of what both can do but that is just my opinion. The only way you could match the reliability would be maybe with a turboed mild 302 setup but then you got charge pipes and couplers and stuff like that to worry about...plus no matter how much the setup is sized right for the engine there will always be some lag. With an na engine its hard to despute a car making 435 to the tires with basically a stock engine and the reliability smoothness and efficiency that comes with it. I just dont beleive you can match all that into one setup with a pushrod with those its either one or the other depending how far you push it but i dont beleive you can have this level of both performance and reliability in one build with a pushrod. That is just my 02 im sure many will disagree

You just gotta shift once to get to 60 with his trans and rear end gears. How hard is it to hang 2nd fast? Not very hard with a good shifter setup like that. Not taking anything away from what he did but the whole doin it with a manual thing is kinda lame. He has a sticky tire and traction is the main thing that plauges manuals vs their auto counterparts that leave softer. Just my .02

@@michaelharris748 still have to slip the clutch without dumping it to get car to hook just right. A hell of a lot harder then just taking foot off brake and easing into throttle on a auto trans.
