When I was dumped out of the hospital during the COVID pandemic in stanyan park, I passed out in a bush only to awaken to a pack of coyotes diving in and out like who was going to bite first. Fought em off w a broken rake. Tried calling this out to anyone who'd listen years ago. Effin terrifying. They've been a problem for a while.
@@emilioaymat5651seriously … walk the dogs somewhere tf else!!! Go in your front crosswalk or back yard. Why go to the beach next to a big forest area? Ridiculous!
The expectation that the natural animal environment can coexist with a highly populated urban environment is short sighted. Try as we may, coyotes have become habituated to human activity. People also contribute to the problem by leaving foodstuffs and trash for the critters. Thinning out the wild coyote population is inevitable.
Marcia Volpe needs to face reality, as do so many others here living in la-la land. While she is squeamish about the coyotes being killed (or whatever the fashionably sterilized term is these days), it is actually the safest and healthiest option for both humans and coyotes alike. They are in no way endangered as a species, and here in the city, they have no natural predators to keep their populations in balance, and likewise, they CANNOT be domesticated, and will NEVER stop killing pets, because they cannot. So you can choose to have pets here, and no humans being attacked, or you can keep the coyotes. It's one or the other, you cannot have both.
These people obviously don’t understand that coyotes were there first. Just ask any animal rights cult member and they will tell you that coyote was entitled to kill anything it wanted.
