Did we have any pier runners??? Not exactly. But it's still fun watching for them. The horn battle was pretty cool! Royal Caribbean's wasn't as loud as Carnival's was, mostly because of where I recorded the video from.
True. And gone are the days when only the rich and elite could afford to go on cruises. So, now it's just up to all of us, who can afford them, to enjoy them while we can.
As a frequent Cruiser I can tell you this is extremely common many people don't even realize what shp they are cruising on or simply cannot identify what ship there cruising on . they can't even identify their ship once they're off of it. Many people actually get into the wrong line. Many people have the impression that because they can see the ship that it's not going to go anywhere and they still have time. Many other people get drunken out of their mind and they have no idea what's going on or concept of time. Time is another Factor many people don't pay attention to the right time they go by the time on their watch and not the actual Island time or the ship's time. Which causes major confusion. St Thomas can be very confusing to new Cruisers because there's two actual Cruise ports. So they have no idea what cruise port to go back to.. I even had people tell me the ships not going to leave without me it has to wait for me. Besides I have a tour sticker so they have to wait. Unfortunately cruise ships almost never wait for anyone unless you're directly booked on one of their tours book through the actual cruise ship. But even then that doesn't mean they're going to wait. Late is late pretty-much zero tolerance. Even I almost missed the ship one time when I was in Saint Martin because the water taxi there decided to go on holiday vacation. Even though he had taken everybody's money and sold them all day passes he never told his passengers that he would not be there after 5 p.m.. luckily I was able to walk back and had to push my mother her walker and we were literally the last ones on the ship. However over 30 people got left behind. Only that I had been to st-martin before I knew how to get back by walking but it was a very long walk in fact by the time we got back to the ship it was already dark out. Many of the people just simply got lost and had no idea how to get back. We were begging for a taxi a bus Uber anyting and they all said that those were unavailable due to the holiday. So always be prepared and always allow yourself extra time. Even if you have a bracelet or a tour sticker does not mean anybody's going to come looking for you.
It pays to pay attention, and to have at least one person in your group who's going to be the responsible one. We saw one of those party boats show up about 15 minutes after the "scheduled" departure time (supposed to leave at 5pm). It was a ship excursion.
Thanks for sharing your fun with us it’s gets me hyped.. I’m going on my first cruise in April, I’m going on Wonder Of The Seas, and I just can’t wait and want to watch pier runners atleast once…
@@TheSeatrippers thank you so much and I’m definitely going to be looking and heckling the pier runners… I’ll have to have a drink and snack ready for the show. lol 😂 Thanks again for sharing.
No cruise for me. Too many people, my anxiety would kill me. I hate heights and not to excited about swimming if the ship sunk plus I don't want to be eaten by shark.
@@annabellesnightmares I wanted too comment on your "Walmart of the seas" comment but I can't find it. But you are right about that. Sometimes it feels like shopping on Black Friday. LOL!!!
So these people are on vacation on a cruise and instead of enjoying themselves at the bar or the pool or the jacuzzi they sit and wait for other passengers to arrive for 30-45 minutes looking down at the pier, looking for "excitement?" LMAO.
There's plenty of time to sit at the bar, pool, or germ infested jacuzzi; however, there's only a limited amount of time to watch for contestants in the pier runner Olympics. And we have drinks in hand while enjoying the follies of the pier runners.
@@TheSeatrippers I could see Awolnation's Sail, or if they see pier runners after they cast off play Queen's Another One Bites The Dust. Pirates of the Caribbean would be awesome, but I think Disney might take offense to it. Darude's Sandstorm would be another good one.
@@v12tommy definitely Another One Bites the Dust. Even the 1812 Overture Finale with Cannons would be good. A funny one would be Yakety Sax from The Benny Hill Show.
Thanks for the comment Capt. Obvious. Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about the time stamp on the video since it is not relevant to anything historically significant. We do however, appreciate your comment and kindly thank you for stopping by and viewing our video.
There's movies, shows, a casino, pools, bars. restaurants, games, activities, art auction, shops, karaoke, live music, food, people watching, relaxation, tranquility, etc. It's like a mini city. Plus you get the ability/chance to visit other countries/places.
It's a floating hotel with swimming pools, bars, discos and entertainment. It's the most economical way to travel because everything like meals are prepaid except for booze, excursions on land. Lodging in hotels and meals gobble up your travel budget quick.
Yes different blasts mean different things. Leaving a Dock, in reverse, changing direction, or danger.. 5 blasts is danger, 3 means in reverse, one long blast means leaving a Dock or entering a Chanel
@@nickystar600video3 we have cruised over 20 times with almost all shipping companies. Carnival is oké but moderate. You should start with comparing. Celebrity, Oceania and Princess are better. We love Norwegian but we will never say that they are the best because its a personal opinion.
Sorry to disappoint you but this isn't our first time. We just find it very entertaining to watch the pier runners. With that being said, your comment has been duly noted, and we thank you for taking the time to watch our video.
