Cozy Fall Decorate With Me 

It’s all I can do to keep from skipping Summer all together…..it’s my least favorite Season……my favorite half of the year is October-March…there are some people like me out here, you know 🤔😉😂

Oh my goodness, I love your new dishes! Everything looks gorgeous! It’s still way to hot to pull out fall decor stored in our attic. Lord willing next Saturday I’ll get the hubs to pull it down for me. Until then I’ll live vicariously through everyone’s fall videos.

We have been overwhelmed with broken appliances and cars lately, so Fall decorating has been delayed, though I organized all my boxes earlier this Summer so at least I know there is good stuff out in the garage. Love how your home is turning out

Love what you did , I share your love for old prints / oil paintings. I used to climb around in furniture and use chairs as step stools, but no more , I got myself a sturdy three step foldable ladder that I use for anything that’s out of my reach .

I always think of Labor Day weekend as the official end of summer so that’s when I start decorating for fall. You did a beautiful job decorating,Kristen, you have an eye for this and wonderful taste. By the way, you daughter is a love, very sweet!

I love everything about your house and your use of space and color. And now I don’t feel bad about decorating early.😂

You can buy vinyl see thru at Joanne's Fabric and lay over the tablecloth. It wipes clean. I used to keep a tablecloth on when kids were little with the cover on When you have company just take it off. Tablecloth stays nice and runner can go over or under up to you. You just wipe it off with a cloth wash cloth when you do dishes. Can dry if it needs it with dish cloth. It comes on a roll, and they roll it off and it is wide enough for the table and sides. Just a household hint for you young mothers. Was pricey back then but worth it. Had so many people copy it over the years. I got the idea from a friend who had 5 kids, and she liked cloth tablecloths. It is worth it. I would lay a tablecloth, place mats, and then chargers over top. Depends on how thick your place mat is. Measure the sides of longest tablecloth and ends where the cloth hangs over.

I hope you didn't get rid of that plant. It's not dead, it just needs a small pot and clean up the dead leaves. That plant grows so well and is easy to care for. I have 4 of them in my home.

Look for an old ladder and then hang that from the ceiling and hang the baskets off the ladder. Oooo, that print above your cupboards the “egg lady” I just found that out thrifting and bought it for my sweet friend who is obsessed with chickens.

Love everything you do. Hope the girls feel better. One thing you might want to consider is the grease that will collect if you hang baskets in the kitchen. Maybe the back room will be a better choice.

Just a suggestion, I purchased a clear thick plastic at Walmart. I cut it to the size of our quilt for Christmas. I didn’t want to stain my quilt, so maybe you could use that so your linen tablecloth would look good as new, lol.

I have a large tote that I store my seasonal prints in. I love switching out decor for the seasons and holidays. It makes it more festive and inviting. Love your home ❤ maybe put up fake beams and hang the baskets. I hung some of my baskets on the wall and put stuff in them.

You could measure your table top and have a piece of glass cut. That’s what I did and either put the table cloth under the glass or go without. Protects the top.

Get a $10.00 drop cloth at Wal-Mart. I washed it & made a tablecloth out of it...cutting one end & hemming that side. I think it looks great!

Please move your baskets! Having them above your stove, they'll get a greasy film on them. Put some crockery there that is easy to clean, and put the baskets in a safer location. You did a lot of decorating, and everything looks really nice!

I got a basket from antique store just lije the one you show here. I go to antique and trift store twice a week. I dont have a youtube channel yet, even that all my friends ask me to open one, in the meantime I enjoy your channel, and also others one like Amy and Andrea.

Kristen as usual you make it look beautiful! You have such a talent with decorating, and a great voice for doing video! I live in New England and our thrift stores or Good Will ( we don't have bins local) never have any of the items you find. Facebook Market Place never has the items either , many antiques stores are always out of the items you can always seem to find for next to nothing! That should be a video you make , how you always find things for such an affordable price! Is you dog ok, he looks thinner and jumpy. I think the novelty of him has worn off, he so wanted to be pet many times when you were putting the wreath of the door and doing a lot of your decorating. In the last few videos he was not acknowledged either. It's hard not to give into kids when they miss a departed pet, thinking a new pet would take the pain away. It doesn't, and you are the one to take care of and love the animal. Place his food and water bowls up not on the floor, if your kids don't eat out of plastic he shouldn't either. Also feed him good food, just like your kids.

I usually decorate on the first day of Fall. But I’ve been seeing so many Fall decorate and thrifting Fall decor videos that it has got me more in the mood to decorate a little. Oh by the way the shirt you’re wearing, Sonoma is a Kohls brand. So that is a great shirt to have thrifted!

I use a painters dropcloth from walmart as a tablecloth and i love it. Its $9 and super durable

Very pretty... That blouse is such a pretty color on you.. i do decorate early.. i live in Az.. and im dying for cooler weather.. input up a fall dried floral arrangement.. in my dining area about two weeks ago..im keeping my fall and Christmas decor fairly minimal.. this year.. but yeah.. i love to decorate.. i actually already put up two! Slender faux Christmas trees up in our back tv/ music / study room.. and one in my room at the foot of my bed.. i did that in july.. and they are so cozy twinkling at night.. i love it.. they are decorated very minimally in somewhat fall colors ... i couldn't help it!! Couldn't wait! ☺️

Good for you Kristen knowing when to stop. I usually don’t decorate til the official day of Fall. My husband is having major surgery so we will have company after a few days. I want the house to look pretty. I am done except for my front porch. It is in the nineties today, so definitely not feeling like Fall.,Yours is already looking great. I love the basket of dried pumpkins so much. Somehow I have four or five fall wreaths. I go to an estate sale abs say oh I need a wreath..put it in the attic and see one and think oh that is pretty..think I need one.. I hope the girls get well fast. I love all of yours! I usually am so ready to decorate but this year I’ve loved my summer decor because I’ve been super intentional about every thing I’ve used this time. This year I drug my feet but just switched mine out yesterday. I used to live in an old house like yours and I loved the fact I felt like I could hang things and pull nails without a care in the world. Now we live in a new house and my husband would freak so I’ve had to start using command strips. 😂
