The Murder She Wrote series is my go-to for cozy mystery. Set in the American East coast, it follows Jessica Fletcher, who a pivotal member of the fishing community Sandy Cove. The crimes are easy to solve. It's the people and their friendships I most enjoy reading about.

New subs here! I loved how you went from Gaston Leroux to Agatha Christie to Richard Osman and so on, that's the kind of reflections I like to do about books too! I just read How to solve your own murder, an adult debut from the author, and I liked it a lot. It's not perfect, but it is so gripping and keeps you guessing.

May I offer a Canadian author as a suggestion. Charlotte Macleod wrote several mystery series and they all qualify as cozy. I reread “ Rest you Merry” every Christmas. It follows Professor Peter Shandy who teaches at the very unique Balaclava Agricultural College and is definitely full of quirky characters. Actually all of her series have quirky characters and I enjoyed them all. Don’t see much talk about her but I highly recommend them if you want a light cozy read.

My new favourite is: Katy Watson with the Dahlia Lively mysteries series and a favourite is Carola Dunn with the Daisy Dalrymple historical mysteries series

OMG I LOVE the Lord Edgington series! I started with Mistletoe Hall and have now read all of them. I also love the Thursday Murder Club 🙂

🔎 So much about this video to love. Richard Osman’s books are a favorite of mine and I’m looking forward to his new series as well. Adding some of these cozies to my TBR - I do have The Marlowe Mystery Club on my Kindle. P.S. Miss Marple is my favorite of Christie’s, books, too.

🔎🕵️🔍 I agree. I love reading cozy mysteries. And rereading them in many cases ❤ I’ve read quite a few of your recommendations but have written down a few you mentioned to check out. I’m currently reading the fourth Witcher book (2nd novel) but feeling the need to read something cozy soon to break it up. Great video!

The mystery of the yellow room is great. If you liked locked room mysteries, try John Dickson Carr (also wrote as Carter Dickson). One of his I recently enjoyed was The man who could not shudder 🔍

🔍I went into The Stranger Times completely blind, I just really liked the cover, and I was so pleasantly surprised, I adored it Currently listening to A Quiet Life in the Country by TE Kinsey, and I'm really enjoying it so far, it definitely has that cozy murder-in-a-quaint-english-village vibe 😊

I haven't tried Mrs. Marple yet and I want to! I've tried one Pierrot and one Tommy and Tuppence. I liked them both, but Tommy and Tuppence was so cute! Vera Wong & A Curious Beginning are on my list! The Stranger Times!! The Cat and Corpse in the Old Barn sounds cute.
