Thank you so much for the shout out - so glad you like the news vids! It is a lot of work so it's always nice to get the encouragement to carry on with them 😅 Also... Bookish Daddy is maybe the best BookTube name ever?! And The Book Leo does such great video essays. The effort that goes into them is so good. Jealous of your journalling skills! 😍
I'm really excited for this. I already have a good idea of what I want my TBR to be. Idk how much I'll be getting outside though it has been in the mid-90s F here so unless there's water involved I've been primarily doing inside activities lol. So that prompt I may have to get creative with
I read s few in June that I adored! Six Crimson Cranes, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Leather & Lark. Smash! Also Harrow is so good. it confused me but it's so good. I can't wait to reread those books and annotate them. 💀
👻 I read Episode Thirteen at the end of last year and did not like it either. It has so much potential but it fell short. I gave it a 2.5-star rating. When I saw that you had that book I was like OH NO lol I was hoping that I had got it wrong but everything you said about the book you didn't like is exactly what I thought as well.
An interesting start to the competition! I had never heard of either of these reads, and I also don't use CAWPILE, so it was fascinating to see how that helped you look at your experiences through a critical eye. Good luck in this round, and can't wait for next week's "episode"!
I have heard of Episode Thirteen and i've been interested in it, but i haven't read it yet. You actually made me more excited about it. I really enjoy mixed media.
My favorite book I read in June was The Gutter Prayer by Gareth Hanrahan. Weirdest, wackiest world building I’ve seen in a long time. Currently reading the sequel and loving it.
I read Foul is Fair I did enjoy it but not sure I would read it again, I’m not great with reading young adult books. I’m reading Vampire of the Empire at the moment which I’m enjoying so far. 💄💋
My favourites for June were Everyone in my Family has Killed Someone, and Everyone on this Train is a Suspect both by Benjamin Stevenson. Yup, I love a good mystery. 💀
💀 Little White Lies by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, The Break Down by B.A Paris and The Girls Who Disappeared by Claire Douglas were my favourite books for June
You had a really good reading month! I read Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands in June, loved it! I also really enjoyed The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton and The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu.
