I can’t explain it but romance within fantasy is so satisfying, especially if straight up fantasy is something that a lot of people are intimidated by!

What I love about fantasy is that point in the book where you know all the: currencies, language, cultural standards, geography and have a good grip on the characters - then you have that tension building between major scenes. The will they/won't they, who is the ACTUAL villain here, etc... THAT is the sweet spot for me in a fantasy book. The investment I feel at that point and as I said, the TENSION and sense of foreboding you get when waiting for the next big thing to happen. Awesome.

Totally agree that movies are wayyyy too long now! 😂 Some movies need all 2.5 hours, most don't.

i’m into the slow burn romance in fantasy type of books instead of romantasy where romance is one of, if not, the only thing we read about the entire time. i also like when the main couple aren’t on top of each other the moment they lay eyes on each other. PLEASE SLOW IT DOWN!

I started reading the Expanse last year influenced by you( loved the tv series) and finished it all. Really enjoyed reading the books.

I really liked Babylon's Ashes. So many great POV characters in that book.

I can't wait to read The Expanse series this year. 😄

I've also put off reading Book 6 of The Expanse Series for so long but this vlog has definitely given me the push to pick up the book 😅
