I finished my last WIP the other day (juuuust a hair under 250K words 🙃) and am working on the framework (I hesitate to call it the plotting) of the. next one.

@@abbygeigerman Thanks! It is. Except it's a helluva lot of words to now edit. (Which explains why I'm moving on to the next WIP, LOL! 😆 With the goal of no more than 100K words.)

I found 25 minute sprints didn't work for me. I'm finishing my PhD in English and technical writing. A lot of the studies I've read says that it takes 30-45 minutes to get into the 'zone,' and every distraction from that focus can set you back by 20 minutes. Have you tried taking longer sprints? One hour or so. Also, what kind of 'writing ritual' do you have? I use writing gloves, a specific candle that matches the book (I buy them from Penn & Beech), a playlist, and I read the scene from the day before to get me going.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that!! Definitely going to try longer sprints in the next session. I used to have a really good writing ritual but have since gotten out of practice. Your ritual sounds incredible, will definitely be borrowing the candle idea 🥰
