To commemorate the one year anniversary of the CP & KCS merger (forming CPKC), CPKC ran the Empress steam engine on a tour beginning in Calgary Alberta Canada, running south through the US and into Mexico before a scheduled return to Canada.
Along the way were 11 scheduled stops/events, 2 of which we attended - #5 in Franklin Park Ill & #6 in Davenport Iowa. In addition, we gave a little chase of the train as it made its way between the two on a wet Wednesday morning.

1. May 8 - Arrival in Franklin Park
2. May 8 - A couple of random clips during the Franklin Park Event
3. May 8 - Departing Tower B12 at sunset to wye the train at Tower A8.
4. May 8 - Running back through Franklin Park to Bensenville to tie down for the night.
5. May 9 - Roaring through Elgin heading west.
6. May 9 - Through Byron Ill. Directly after this the train would strike a tree.
7. May 9 - Crossing the Mississippi River into Sabula Ia in a deluge of rain.
8. May 10 - Shoving into the Davenport Ia riverfront Event from Nahant Yard.
9. May 10 - Departing the riverfront to return to Nahant for the night.
10. May 11 - Departing Davenport enroute to Kansas City for stop #7.
