On February 15th 2022, CP has tested the accessibility to their Arco carriages, bought to RENFE. In this video we can see 3 carriages ready to be tested by wheelchair users and blind people.
Campanhã
The Campanhã station, in Porto, was inaugurated in 1875, being the first railway station in Porto. This station has all the long-distance, suburban and Celta CP services, and serves as an interface with the Porto Metro. The station has 16 tracks, most of them passing through and some terminals.

All entrances to the station are wheelchair accessible. Access to platforms 2 to 8 is via a tunnel with lift access. Access to the remaining lines is via the tops of the platforms, next to the Metro do Porto station. Access to the Porto Metro can be done from the train station side, towards “Estádio do Dragão” or from the bus terminal side towards “São Bento” or “Trindade”. The station has audible warnings and LED passenger information panels. There is partial tactile paving.
CP2620
CP's 2620 class is the continuation of the 2600 class of locomotives. These locomotives were designed by Alstom (then Alsthom), with the “Nez Cassé” design, which characterizes both series. These locomotives are derived from the original SNCF models, BB 7200/7600, CC 6500, BB15000 and BB 22200. They are one of the best known locomotives in Portugal and started the Alfa service back in the 80's. After about 10 years out of service,they are being recovered by CP and put back into passenger service.

CP3400
This class of suburban trains, characterized by their yellow front and spacious interior, were developed by Bombardier and manufactured in their factory in Portugal. They were one of the first trains to allow walk-through and with shared bogies. The 3400, initially designed for the suburban services of Porto and the Cascais Line, currently serves the suburban services of Porto.

These trains have ramps on board, space for passengers in wheelchairs, audible announcements and information panels inside.
Arco
The Arco carriages were purchased from the Spanish company RENFE, in a deal worth 1.6 million euros. These carriages are being restored at the maintenance facilities in Guifões, Porto. The series of 33 carriages will start operations during the year 2022.

Arco carriages have one place for wheelchair passengers. They have LED panels with passenger information and audible warnings. These carriages may still undergo accessibility changes until they are put into service.
