Funny enough to find this video after you sold it to me. Been driving it for about a year and it sounds amazing and drives amazing I knew I recognized my car🤣
Great vid I have a 15 Gen 3.8 ult and all I did so far is cut the mufflers and lower it with Eibach springs going to do the cold air soon just waiting on the warrenty to run out. It's not my daily so I only have right at 39k miles on it! LOVE this car lol. Oh and my daily is a 08 tiburon I got brand new it has like 285,000 miles on it just waiting on 300 and it can do whatever it wants after that lol Hyundai has been great to me for all that haters out there lol
Sounds bitchin! CP-E definitely did this right! I installed their Catbacks in late summer of 2014, on my 2013 3.8 Track. But missed opportunity to get their Long Tube Headers. (Sadly, now both have been discontinued.) Recently purchased Maintec Long Tube Headers. However, will have to have primary sensor bungs moved up the headers as they're located about 9" away from OEM placement.
@@ScottMikles yeah i see that, looks like no one has come out with long tube headers for the 3.8 since. I see some other shortys but nothing like the cp-e. Shame…
With the redline raised to 7200 does the car keep pulling up to the 7200? I'm going to assume yes seeing that my Genny pulls hard at the top end, it just wants to keep fukin going regardless of the limits the ecu are telling it! Lol Had my 3.8bk2 for 2 months now only 5k on it as of tonight after a big kdm meet in Ontario for the season closer. I have done muffler delete install just waiting on tips to get here but I love it, thing sound's like a v6 should little noisy inside but only because the exhaust had no where to escape at the moment it's getting trapped underneath. Anyway love the videos car sounds fukin sick, I knew with those full length headers & x pipe at it was going to feel stronger in the mid to high rpms keep up the videos.
The car pulls hard up to and a little over 7200. The tune did a lot for it along with the headers and full exhaust. I remember the feeling you're talking about when it had the stock tune. The stock redline and tune are not even close to the cars potential. I could always tell it had a lot more. I very rarely ever see redline, the car has so much torque that you can keep it mid range and still have good, hard pulls. It is vastly different compared to stock now. I've only taken it in to redline a handful of times since tuning it and I've never bounced off the rev limiter. and I've hit at least 7300. Who knows where the limiter comes in lol. This engine loves to be scream. Also, the strongest cam timing comes in way earlier now so the power is even more available early in the power band.
I spoke with Bryan Paul (YT), and he states it's better to spray Cerakote on them, rather than wrapping. At least in my case... as I'm in the high desert area.
Since I had my car tuned at the same time as installing the headers and exhaust, we set it up to where it won't. You have to set your ECU up to not respond to the secondary O2 sensor. No CE light.
My ECU is tuned from BTR for this exact exhaust and header setup. If you order just the ECU from them you will have the option to "turn off 2nd O2 sensor" when you're placing your order. Most shops that are able to tune your ECU can do the same thing.
