Thank you as I have seen no other clear demonstration of the issue and solution. The english comment subtitle said a short in the mosfet. So all one viewer needed to do was to type MOSFET definition in the Yahoo search you would know what the mosfet is. It is amazing what you can learn thanks to the web and internet, and how quickly. hello great channel, I have a question: "so if I remove the 4 pin cpu connector and the fan spins continuously the fault is in the VRM ? and if I remove the 4 pin cpu connector but the fan spins on then off, I should check the full motherboard? " Did I understand correctly ?

My laptop model HP8470p. at first it was running in a good condition. After shutting ti down when i turn it on back the LEDs on and the cooling fan continuously running with maximum speed. No display and nothing is happening in the Laptop. Just fan running and LEDs on. What is the problem and what is the solution??????? Need to know. Please ans me.

Sir mera motherboard power switch on krne par automatic turn on and off hojata hai. Aisi hi hote rahta hai. Constantly on and off fan cpu power on of button me vontage 3v then 0 then 3v then 0 aise hi voltage aati hai. Means voltage on of hori hai

Sir may i know if your shop is in Delhi NCR? If not, can you please tell any reliable contact/shop in Delhi/NCR as i need to get my system repaired. We are facing the same problem. But only difference is the CPU runs 1 out of 10 attempts and that too for 3-4 seconds. Else it doesn;t boot at all.

Removing all power cords from mobo and reinstalling it solved problem for me, also check for cpu thermal paste and loose heatsink.

One try your 4 pin cpu connector is the wrong way - if there are 2 try both on the PSU.
