David Lowery is a fantastic lyricist and Johnny Hickman has fantastic musicality, Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven often make poetry that makes sense on a purely emotional level. I still think that these are some of the few people that actually made meaningful musical art in the 90s, an era dominated by edgelord "heavy," repetitive, and populist tunes that could sell a million records but had no substance. Also, that one D who thumbs-downed this, these are YT comments, you will get a constant stream of criticism. Welcome to the internet.

Thank you Cracker you were the first band I saw live with my brother when I moved to Charleston, SC in 1997. We saw you a few times there then I moved on. Saw you in Nola at Tips in 2006 or 2007. I now live in NorCal and hope to see you at HopMunk next time you are there.
