Cradle Of Filth - Her Ghost In The Fog - Bloodstock Open Air Metal Festival 2019. Title Track : Her Ghost In The Fog Ronnie James Dio Stage www.bloodstock.uk.com
I absolutely don’t like the face paint metal.. I hate saying black metal cause sounds stupid. But these dudes have constantly made killer music. I dig them cause songs like this and it’s all the guitarist I forget his name. But the OG guitarist wrote some Punk sounding guitar parts but then has these almost hippy style parts.. dudes a fuckin talent. No one sounds like him.
Not sure why people always hated this band. I still have three of their tees from way back in the day, and when I used to wear their tees in public in the UK (2005-2008), kids used to heckle me. Solid band, solid vocals, I mean literally over 2 decades and Filth's voice spectrum is an entire horror movie start to finish. The music is very well written, speaks of lore and myth, occult, and Cthulu. What's not to like?
Completely agree. Lived with their music through the 90's and early 00. No one I knew could relate or understand them. Always going on about his high pitched screams or how ridiculous he dressed. For me it's the lyrics. Horror poems of hard to understand beauty. And the music. Amazingly beautiful and powerful.
@@laynehendrix19 Yes boss. Have all three. Two of them are L-XL and have a couple of holes in em but are thick cotton. The medium sized one is thinner cotton but no holes. They're now over 15 years old and still going strong LOL
I've never been a fanboy or anything, but COF deserves props for Cruelty and the Beast and Midian, both being quality, legit metal. IMO, go Dani, go.... \m/!
To this day is say Cruelty is one of my top 5 albums ever. I'm a drummer and that was the first time I ever heard Nick Barker, dude is still my favorite drummer of all time. He had a huge influence on my playing.
You can do that without effects. After many years screaming in the most cringy way in my car, I learned how to fry scream and earlier this year finally unlocked "the CoF scream". It is very loud, not very easy to control and 99% of the time I land in the same note. But, if you pay attention, Dani always holds just one note when he does that, so I guess this is how it is. So... Yeah, even though he might use some effects to help to achieve sound he wants, it is absolutely possible to do it just with your body.
@@charlesnicholas3903 No, he can do it for real. live sound will dial in a bit of compression and delay in on the channel strip, like every vocalist uses but no trickery here. There's a few guys on youtube doing that screaming into the air without a mic, difference is they don't do it jumping around 2 hrs a night for a quarter of a century...
@@necrothrasher13 its so he can hear himself better. its kinda common but some people dont think it's "metal." also just in case people throw shit on stage it doesn't hit him lol.
You're wrong. The best concerts are in daylight. Preferably when the sun comes up. If at night, you want the sun to go down because of the sheer magic. If your band can do magic, the daylight will work better than all the lights of the night.
Still sound amazing. Been a fan since Cruelty & the Beast. Dani once said does a baby hurt their vocal chords when they scream for hours? That vocal is in all of us, but most of us never harness the power. Glad to see Cradle got the respect they deserve unlike 2009 when their guitarist got hit at the same festival with a missile thrown from the crowd. I was there then and was pissed they had to cut short their performance due to some prick deeming it 'not trve metal'
Great to see how Dani got his demon voice back. Even though the line up has changed so much through the years, I know can always count on CoF, whatever the line up.
After all these years Dani’s growl may have changed due to age but not many still do it at his age god damn it it’s as good as it was when this song came out
I saw Cradle of Filth in 2009 and 2011. Dani sounded better in this video than he did when I saw them live. Sounds like he's really put in the effort in taking care of his voice
@@ZombieJesus1987 yeah this is one of the best live clips i've seen from them after very early 2000's. Dani used to have some real problems with his voice in between.
@@Kiki3141592 lol... RU-vid just notified me of your answer .... also thanks for the link, I just read that Lindsay left the band, I also saw it on the official Twitter account of C.O.F.
@@blackhathacker82 il dit ça parce que c est vrai par expérience moi une fois j ai joué de jour avec du maquillage on a eu du mal à arcohcher le public alors que cradle eux y arrivent sans aucun mal
COFs musicality and atmosphere has always been cool. But Dani's vocal ability, even with age, will N E V E R cease to amaze me. Those crazy wails are not something you can learn; either you can manage it or you cannot, it's not something you can half-ass or bluff. Similar technique to whistle tone but there's A FUCKING GROWL BEHIND IT. Dani Filth has some otherworldly attributes, and that doesn't surprise me in the slightest lmfao
