This is intriguing, I'd like to see more. What does night bring? Are there enemies, animals, npcs? I don't recall seeing a bow or spear for hunting or defence so is this simply a survive the elements game? Please keep playing so these, and many more, questions can be answered 🙂
tbf, most early access games won't be out for years, so if they start on an engine that works on all pcs today, when it finally reaches 1.0, it will be horribly outdated. Switching engine mid development only costs time and money. It's a choice a developer has to make...
GE just watch the new showcase. setting that trader sign since it has a + base look for a stone area or a clear roadside area to place it. Since it will not go in the building you checked it should have a place out side on of them for it. Although maybe not up against the building per say. Any was best of look look for to the next one.
Rising World (Unity Version not the Java one) looks just as good as this, plays much the same but has a loyal community online and has been in development for many years already.
GE if you look at the Rope Bridge craft it says build 12 segments to get across ... 12 !!! Craft craft craft lol ... Id like to see you get over the other side and see whats it all about ;)
Looks wise, okay. Gameplay and making items need a lot of balancing, especially when it comes to timing. Trees should give off much more plant fibre than those small bushes. The other side of the bridge looks interesting with paths and a bigger bridge to construct n all.
If it is an abandoned island why would there be a food trade station and pawn shop? Wouldn't you just walk into those buildings and take what you want...you know since you are the only person on the island lol
I WISH we could get away from the same exact game mechanic in every single survival game. Stone, stone knife, stone axe, pick axe, metal, blah blah. This is so old already. Can we not just have a game where you can just locate all these items in the world instead and focus crafting on more interesting things and grinding for resources...
And how would you have these things done? I mean, Stranded Deep, Green Hell, The Long Dark all let you find items in the game world, but those items are rare.
If tools, armor, and equipment are available to find and use, it is a Looter, not a Crafter Nothing wrong with either option. Feels like you might want to search more for "looting survival rpg". Play the games that bring you enjoyment, I hope you find them
Wow! you've obviously never watched GameEdged. I love that he talks you through. He explains what he's doing, problems/ glitches he finds, and what everything is for. GE is one of the best streamers for showing new games and their mechanics to let you have a more educated decision of what you're buying. It's a shame you're listening to the voice and not what he's actually saying.
