Been making these for YEARS, and I love them. It's hard for me to throw a piece of fabric away, no matter how small. Never tried it with jelly rolls though, mainly because I've never bought a jelly roll. Oh. Wait. Yes I have - and it was delicious. LOL Love that flamingo/palm tree fabric you have there.

Thank you for sharing this great idea! I personally do not sew but this would not only make a great craft fair idea but a great gift idea too like you mentioned giving them to your mom. I lost my mom when I was 16 unexpectedly and she was a huge coffee drinker and loved loved blue so when I seen this, I teared up, I instantly thought of my mama too!! She would have loved this! Thank you for not only sharing a great creative idea but also a memory for me as well! God bless!

Did I understand you to say that you cut the strips to be 1 and 1/4"? Also I noticed that you didn't back stitch when you did the stitch in a ditch...just ran off the edge...that will be ok? (newbie here) It's really pretty and so are the masks! Tfs
