Very, very friggen cool Miss Maggie, and certainly no need for apologies... heheheh , personally, I am a retired truck driver... but you are not doing anything wrong... I absolutely love these !! whats really wild is i have every single thing to make these, exactly as you show them... I havent mastered it all yet... lol... so much of my supplies sit unused, brand new.. hardly touched.. but these, this project, is enough to really get me moving in the right direction... Thank you Maggie... You are a gem. ♥🧡🧡

Ok, the way you are able to grunge up ephemera when it is glossy is that you get some modpodge and white tissue paper. Glue the tissue paper over your glossy picture. Let wringle some too so it looks older. Once it dries, then you can ink the edges. Works like a charm.

Those are really cute!!! To rough up the edges of the glossy file folders is use a nail file. File just enough to rough it up and the the ink should stay on. I have those glossy folders. I have tired it, but I think it should work.

Hi there! What a fun project! Hey, just use permanent ink with a distressing tool to grunge up your edges and then won't rub off.

Use fine sandpaper on glossy papers to give it some “tooth”. An emery board works on smaller pieces.

Fabulous video loving the folders, why not make a template out of acetate of your window so you can draw around the outside and see whereabouts on the photo you want to use. Love your quiet nature very easy to listen to you, hugs julie

You mentioned getting a black mat...if you work with a lot of black cardstock it's really difficult on the black mat..l went back to green...love your work

This was a GREAT video been watching you make your homemade ephemera, love it. I missed where you got the mini file folders. Also, a tip for the string make it longer and put a spot of glue on each end and roll between your fingers when dry slip it thru your holes then snip off the glued ends.

They are all great, but my favorite would be the friendship one because I like the look of the front panel being shorter than the back panel. It shows more of the paper color. Where did you get the large dauber?

You might be able to coffee or tea dye the shiny paper to grunge them up some. I’ve never dyed shiny paper so I’m not sure. 🥰

What brand is that little cutter. I would like to get one. It would save me from having tonrin to my cutting area every time. BTW, love watching your channel. Get so many cool ideas.😊
