Befok, swaer.......nou gaan ons braai! I was looking for a way to show a friend in Texas something about braaing, and this will do nicely. Good luck, man - and a South African woman is an asset in any situation. Thanks for spreading a little of the fantastic feeling of being South African.

Although an interesting design (and story), as an avid outdoor cook that lives in the north where good open grilling weather only exists for about 4 months out of the year, I don't see this being very useful to people like me except for maybe tailgating. BUT I sure would love to try one on my RU-vid Channel anyway!

We have indoor braai setups aswell in south africa. Its built into the wall with chimney.

Come on, man. $400-$1100 USD for some iron? GTFO. You said yourself your brother in law braais on an old metal disc. Way to Americanize such an awesome tradition. Instead of bringing braai to the masses, you've relegated it to yuppies.
