Wow. I have great respect for you in the amount of work you put into this. You made some very good points that the original designers and engineers did a very poor job. I appreciate your efforts and level of detail that you addressed to fix this rust problem. This was a tremendous amount of work, beautiful beautiful results. 👍
you sir have inspired me to do my own sprinter . Have painted my van before with a 4"roller .was a really old van but i just used household paint that was for metal or wood .lasted for years..
Just had a look at my sprinter campervan and found about a bucket full of crap behind both front wheels. Glad I saw your video, good job by the way on your van.
@@weld-deluxltd7635 it’s helped me decide on getting it painted! Was a worker (Fiat Doblo) and now trying to make it into a luxury addition to camping (it’s not long enough to fit a bed into it). So I’ve insulated it with sound deadening and now carpeting the back to hide the wear and tear.
Great job mate, currently building up the courage to do my own. I have no experience with spray painting. Currently looking at an electric spray gun Vs air spray gun. Which one do you advise ?
Hello, no there is not even a spot of rust on any surface that I have repainted on the van. Have to say that when I spoke to technical chap at Zinga in UK, I was told that shot blasted or sand blasted surface prior to Zinga aplication is critical for the success. Since then I painted wheel arches on my car and it holds spot on. I am not affiliated to Zinga or any other company whose products I use, it just so have happened that I was lucky and found excellent product. I hope it serves you well on your project, just as it does on mine.
it is a large one, note sure on how much air it pumps a minute as it has been a while since i looked at the data card on the machine. You can see it in this video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZjNOSLdMK-g.html I hope it helps!
@@weld-deluxltd7635 there was nothing in the comments. What's your best guess? I did mine in primer 2 yrs ago and I can't remember either because I was making repairs, not just painting it
Hi I've watch all your video but there are no links can you please tell me what primer and zink product you use maybe some links to products please thank you
Yes I do not sale anything affiliated as other people do, for that reason I never place any links. If you want to use same products just Goolgle it, and find your nearest supplier. Thank you for watching!
Zink product called Zinga and primer i can not remember but you can see it all in details on this video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4fphaU3cdVo.html

Yes, it makes impossible to see any metal dust on the surface of the van, and there is a lot of it considering that the van is used for mobile welding work.
Ukrainian/Scottish to be more precise. Unfortunately due to recent events, it became important to differentiate. I am on the middle of rebuilding the engine for this van, so videos should be ready for Christmas
@@FPV-TV419 I guess, ignorance is bliss. I did not knew what I get involved into, it was my very first paint job, I figured that surface is so big, that by time I will get to top layers I shall learn how to spray paint. It worked, over a year now and there is no rust spot on it.
Hello, yes I stay in Scotland. I do not do painting for living, my line of work is welding. The video there is not to sale any of my services but rather help those who will attempt to do it by them self's
