Craftsman made several different quality levels of riding mowers. My brother needed a mower and sears had a deal if you used the sears credit card to make the purchase. I expected it to be really cheap. But it was actually pretty well made. If he would have taken reasonable care of it I think it would still be running today. But he never did anything to it until it stopped working. He left someone else use it to cut his grass and they drove it off a 12 foot drop off. It didn’t kill it but it bent the steering column and that made it hard to steer. If he would have purchased their cheapest line I'm sure it wouldn't have made it near as long as it did.
The mower i have looks like that one 19.5 hp was made for craftsmen by mtd. Other day decided would turn over 1 time booster cables from tacoma no go cables direct on starter managed to start it reset valves 4 thou. Intatake and 6 thou.
