Great mower and great video. I went from a 26hp 54" deck Husqvarna zero turn to a push mower and now 8 years later this T110. It works great, huge upgrade from a push mower. Can't justify 3,500 for a zero turn and it was a mistake I bought one in the 1st place. This T110 is great, plan on having it a long time. Should have bought this 8 years ago. Paid 1,300 for the T100 and a little trailer with free delivery after military discount. I love it.
Craftmans T110 is the same machine as the Troybilt 42"...both are made by MTD. Part of the bagger model number is ...30031..and Home Depot's bagger for the Troybilt has the same 30031 number listed as its part number. Save $60 over the same bagger listed specifically for Craftsman at Lowes. In my town...Home Depot $329...Lowes $389. Fits exactly the same.

I have a T85 and it also has 7 speeds, but it never stays where I put it. I have to keep my foot on the clutch/brake the entire time I'm cutting. Is this normal?
I had mine delivered this morning, and it will be picked up tomorrow. Just by the delivery guys lifting off the back of the truck, the axil bent. Skewed front wheel. My yard is not perfectly flat, some slight dips... not taking any chances. Cheaply made, thin metal, small bagger that is fabric.... but hey, it has a cup holder! Going for a Troy Built.
the axle bent? is that i think mine has the same issue on delivery,,the right front tire is slightly bent the other one? or is it supposed to be that way?
We bought ours from Lowe's this week. And I thought that I would never say this, but I love how this model looks. It's very 'sporty.' Other than it's looks; it runs great. The price wasn't too bad either at $2000.
Strongly considering buying this mower. Looked at several other brands like Husqvarna, John Deere, but I keep thinking about Craftsman. Growing up dad had one and that son of a bitch it wouldn't die. We mowed acres with it for year's.
I forgot what my first craftsman 14 hp vanguard briggs mower was called. Had it 14 years. 2 mandrels, 1 steering gear, 1starter, 1 transaxle, regular belts blades,etc. 2nd craftsman dlt 3000 18.5 intek briggs. 2 mandrels, 1burnt fuse, 1 deck lift cable, 1 blade engagement cable, regular belts, blades, etc. 3rd craftsman mower t110 17.5 briggs 3 months in, its in the shop. Speed selector dont work, will not go forward or reverse, and other issues due to the overall cheaply constructed piece of junk it is. Definately my last Craftsman ANYTHING, as I have already had problems with other products. Starting the mower after every dismount is ridiculous if you are not mowing. Advertised as manual transmission too, and it is not.
Oh no! I am sorry you have had so many issues with Craftsman mowers. So far so good for us. I am concerned with a few comments we have gotten on this video however. Fingers crossed that ours continues humming along. Thanks
If you get off the seat it will stall, if you’re cutting grass too tall with low speed it’ll stall, if you don’t give it enough gas while Starting or engaging the blades it will stall. Shit happens. If it stalls and won’t move you have to put it back in a different gear to move forward. Use them brakes
So I just bought the T110k mower brand new from Lowes and on first start up it sounds like it idles really low and it emits blackish smoke from the exhaust. What could be some possible causes for this? Should I just let it idle for a few minutes?
Can this mower handle lawns with slopes/small hills? I have a large lawn but I need something that can handle the slopes without tipping over or anything.
Thanks for watching! We have a large, mostly flat area that we use this lawn mower for. It does well on the small inclines we have. As with anything, it all about how you handle it. This is just a basic riding lawn mower. I would double check the specs on any lawn mower you purchase.
I bought this back in March 2020 and only used it briefly like 3 times that year because of the very dry rainy monsoon season in Arizona that year. In 2021 it gave me some problems with the battery, and the mesquite branches with thorns punctured the tires. Other than that it's ok but I wish I would have bought a huskvarna instead because those are known to be better.
We bought ours in the spring of 2020 as well. Ours was delivered with a dead battery. I called and had them come and replace it. So far that is the only issue we have had.🤞

Mine tried to start I'm assuming the battery is not charged it hasn't been used for a year and the lawnmower sat outside although I did bring the battery in the garage. It sounded as if it was trying to start and now I'm getting absolutely nothing from the lawn mower.. Should I call for service or just try to charge the battery again and see what happens?
I just unpacked my Craftsman T110 and read the owners manual which depicted a gas/driving pedal on the right side of the mower. Your video only showed the left side. It also did not show how to make the mower go forward or stop.
Does anyone else find the clutch/brake extremely touchy? It’s either on or off and I’ve run into a few things because of that. Maybe it has an adjustment?
I bought one at Lowe's too, at probably around the same time, for about that price as well. I like the mowing in reverse feature that this mower has, which other entry-level mowers don't have, and once I finally took it out for the first drive/mow, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the steering is very smooth, and effortless, which helps keep the turning radius pretty tight. Other riding mowers I've used in the past took so much effort to steer that I was just as worn out at the end of mowing as I would have been from using a walking mower!! On this new Craftsman mower, I barely break a sweat!! Yes, this was the cheapest 42" I could find, and I needed one in a pinch, but, overall, it's a great value!! I've been using a generic MTD bagger on previous mowers, which fits this mower as well, and I'd highly recommend it, along with high-lift blades- you'll have the cleanest lawn in town!!
@@TrueNorthDueSouth The variable pulley that creates the different speeds was stuck. Smacked it with a hammer and put a little grease on it. Works fine now.

If you are a true pirate than you don't care so much about brands. It just about always having rum in your hand. Otherwise, Costco rum is crazy cheap, Sailor Jerry is mainstream and decent. If you want some real good stuff you have to get to the islands for the real deal! Thanks again!
I was having trouble starting it up, and I called Lowe's and the salesman said push the break, keep it in nutural and it did start up. But the problem that I am having is the blaid, when I put it on, it kills the motor.

Hi, I hope you were able to figure out to get the mower to cut and level the deck. If you still need help there are other YT videos that show you how to level the deck. Most riding lawn mowers are similar in the techniques. Have a good day.
I still don’t know how to drive it. Neighbor taught my son last summer. I recently started needing to mow myself and he taught me what he knew. I read manual and looks like we may have been doing this wrong but I still don’t know how to use it. We’ve never used choke. It’s just always on the bunny. I used choke today and black smoke came out. I stopped using choke. I use the break to control my speed but when reading manual, it said not to do that. So I tried to use one of the slower modes and she just felt and sounded weird. Son said neighbor said to always use on fast but I’m going to die. Which is why I was using break to control speed. Not sure what 1-7 is or when to use. Haven’t found a video where I learn to use mower while mowing. I think we’ve been damaging her. I had purchased automatic for a reason but Lowe’s messed up order and never fixed it. I gave up and just never touched mower myself, letting the men mow. But now I have to :(
You only use the choke to start it. Not driving. For your speed push break and gears are close together, yellow lever the higher you up the faster you go.hope this helps you.
I was cutting my neighbors grass with their ride on lawnmower and I’m used to just using a pedal excelerator not just gears and a brake... is the brake the clutch or is there no clutch. It’s a huskivarna lawnmower but I don’t know the name or number of it
Brake is pretty much the clutch if you think of it that way, I think you can shift it without but I always hit the brakes to move it up or down then adjust gas stick accordingly.
I was looking at reviews on RU-vid about these lawn tractors cuz I wanna get a new one and make mine now a racer or mudder. But man the majority of the comments I read everyone's having issues. Some small and some major issues. These 110s are definitely nice looking but seem not to reliable. Have you had any issues with yours since you've owned it??

Biggest piece of junk on the market. I bought a T110 from Lowes, they delivered and I started it up and engaged the blades and the junker vibrated so much it popped my hearing aides out of my ears. I called Lowes and they delivered a new one the next day and took the one day old one back, but guess what this one vibrates as much as the first one and cuts uneven, especially on when turning. I am now attempting to get my eight year old Arien running, a lot quieter, no vibration and better cutting mower than this 99 and 100 percent pure junk. I even jacked it up and made sure the blades were tight due to the uneven cut.Tight.
Hello. I saw your video of the Craftsman T105 rider. I was curing the grass yesterday and the seat went sideways. One screw is missing and the other was very loose. I've tried to find the manual on how it's supposed to look and how to get replacement parts, but no success. Could you direct me in how to either find the info or send one of your great videos on how to fix it? Thank you so much. Riding sideways without a bolt
Oh no! You could probably take the remaining bolt to a local hardware store to get a replacement that would match and work for you. Otherwise, Lowes could or might have a replacement bolt for the seat as well. Good luck on your sideways riding skills!
I got a Craftsman bagger around $300, but the bagger doesn't work very good, the mower blows the leaves and grass clipping away from mower therefore not bagging but about half of the clippings.
@@TrueNorthDueSouth yeah the funny thing is I had a old MTD rider from the 90s it lasted for 14 years I don’t know what it is about the new mowers today but they just don’t seem to be built as good as they once were.
I had one of these, I just dropped it off at the salvage yard. Absolutely garbage. Used it 2 years, it was a terrible ride, terrible cut, the deck was sloppy and cheap, steering arms were inferior and wore far to fast, ultimately I just couldn't stand using it anymore.
The BIGGEST piece of JUNK. See the teeth on the disc at the end of that bar. They need to be 220' around, not just 170'. That's were the steering is lost.

We got the T110 used it 8 times had problems Went to Lowes no help!!! TOOK IT TO A LAWN SERVICE! BAD BATTERY. COST US 100$ FOR PICK UP AND DELIVERY! NEEDED A BATTERY. I DONT FEEL IT SHOULD OF BEEN ME PAYING BUT LOWE'S WERE NO HELP!!!! I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE GOING TO LOWE'S! POOR WARRANTY!!!!
Oh I would contact Lowes again. Manager, corporate, some higher level. Ours was delivered with a bad battery. It started to get off the truck and they left it in our driveway. We went to start it and it was dead. I had to call many times, but they came and took the old battery and went back to the store for a new one. No charge. Good luck.
Piece of junk, seat is so low profile it's hard to stay on the seat. Cultivate the yard when turning a corner, and the entire lawnmower vibrates when engaging the blades. Have gone back to my 2004 Ariens, a lot better mower.
I totally agree with you! Since buying this house we have been seeding and killing weeds non stop. Our yard actually looks like a somewhat proper yard now. Thanks for watching!
