Hey everyone welcome back to my channel I hope your all well
Firstly I just want to thank everyone for there thoughts and prayers for the passing of my father in law they meant the world to me I appreciate you all, but I love crafting and love you all so I wanted to film a video.
So I've been shopping my stash again and I've been making Specimen slides with no dies at all just Acetate or plastic packaging and washi tape
And seriously how much washi do we all have right 🤭🤭
This is so easy and so much fun I know you'll all love it

If anyone buys it let us know how it works! I rarely send things back if they don't work well and have a tool addiction. I have no idea why but it stresses me out to send things back. My new years resolution is only buying tools that I will actually use more than once. So far it's not going as well as I'd hoped (there are so many pretty things and so little time to use them), but I haven't given up on myself completely. 🤣

I just checked. The one you referenced is twice as big a square hole. 3 mm vs 6 mm

Toni, I am so sorry your family has experienced this loss. Please pass along to your husband my sincere condolences as well. I lost my oldest daughter who was my best friend, travel buddy and the one who arranged all of the family events, vacations, holidays, parties, etc. She passed away from kidney failure due to diabetes last June at only 39 years old. The pain is still very present but everyday it becomes a bit easier to think of her and remember our happy, healthy times together. Also, getting back into my routine, my work and my crafting has been very therapeutic. I am really happy to see you bravely jump back into your wonderful artistic career as well. You mean so much to so many of us. Hugs.

Ohhh sweetheart I'm so very sorry for your loss my heart breaks for you sending you lots of love and d strength to help you along the way We lost my sister at a young age too she was 28 was killed in a car accident two weeks before Xmas 20 years ago She too was my best friend my soulmate 😞 this life can be very cruel sometimes Crafting definitely helps I love putting on a movie and loose myself in a project ♥️

Your father-in-laws accident was very similar to my mother-in-laws accident/broken hip with surgery her survival was very short after that. Memories will be very precious now.❤

Yes, happy we have crafting therapy when we need it. These Specimen slides look so cute. I don't have washi tapes that are suited for this (only that 1 set from ECD with those letters but that would need a different theme than specimen I think) but I do have a cool ledger fabric tape from 49 and Market. Could that work too you think? Probably need to glue that one down because it's not permanent. Thank you for making my day a little bit better today by sharing this cool video!!!

Had to just add that I got a tool kit for my Tim Holtz glass mat delivered today having found it at a bargain price on Amazon. I got so excited when the long packet had an acetate window and a long acetate insert. Plenty of slide material there!

Ohhh that's sounds so cool 👌🏼 I bet they'd look awesome cut up and used as specimen slides i do have a video where I make a box and the slides, I don't used negatives but I bet they look awesome ☺️

I’m sad. The hole punch isn’t available on either UK or American Amazon. Also the washi tape isn’t available either.
