Congratulations Kirsty on becoming a knitter - I hope it brings you great joy. Many thanks for all the ‘enabling’ , some really interesting possibilities.
Lovely knitting and cute pumpkin creations! Oh Kirsty, I was in stitches when you said Attic 24 sounded like At it 24! I can only imagine what came up! 🤣
I always enjoy your videos!! One thought about the shawl that shrunk; maybe the red yarn had wool in it as wool will “felt” together when placed in hot water which would keep it from blocking out. I love your new blanket that you are making and I am glad that you are getting along well with your knitting. Have fun making all of your primitive patterns. Enjoy!
Thank you 😊 yes I think the red yarn was definitely a different type of yarn and I doubt I can do much about it now, oh well lesson learnt 🙄 I am really enjoying the Yuletide Blanket, the colours are yummy. Happy stitching 🧵
Hi Kirsty, you do so much! Do you ever have time to sleep!?😂 I'm absolutely loving the Terry's chocolate orange Santa, you have to make this😆 - Kelly x
Hi I hope all is well with you, I couldn’t resist Santa’s arse when I saw it ! 🤣🤣 …. Also none of my family will be interested in him as I make him, so I may be able to keep the chocolate hidden for myself 😁
Try to do a shawl with acrylic yarn, you will practice and you can put it in the washing machine, :D. Love your new blanket. Great video, very interesting. I will be waiting for more of this. Take care
Thank you, I have moved to buying kits at the moment for crochet and knitting at least then I know what I get is suitable 🙄, I have made the Santa with the chocolate orange so far far, he’s turned out fab 😊
Loved your pumpkins, and Freddie fox - I hope he gets his Vicky vixen 🤩. I completely understand - building a craft stash makes my bank balance wince 😬
Thank you 😊 I was wondering whilst walking the dog if I could give Vicky vixen a tweed skirt and pearls 🤣🤣🤣 I think that may be out of my ability range though!
Great to see some of your other projects. Pity the red wool felted. I've been trying to learn to knit (I even did a course!) as I want to knit socks. I have a few of Lucy's blankets and one (or two) kits for more - which I need to start at some point. Take care.
Oh, I want to knit socks too ! But I am terrified of having 3 small needles or a never ending loop on a circular needle at the moment 🤣 I am really enjoying the Attic 24 blanket and no doubt will be looking at doing more if her projects. Happy stitching 🧵
Love your pumpkins - they look amazing - so clever!! would love to find the time to make them as seem to spend a fortune buying them on Etsy!!! have a great week with love from Wales :)
Congratulations on your knitting 👏👏👏I have a couple of the house of zandra kits to make. I have the chicken and a mouse one. I keep looking at them to start but I never seem to have time!! I have a Liberty creek pattern as well!! Your crochet blanket looks great, I am useless at crochet, I can’t hold the hook properly, I want to hold it like I would my knitting needles and of course it doesn’t work 🤦♀️
Thank you 😊 the house of zandra kits take longer than expected but are easy enough and fab when finished. We will wait to see how the knitting goes, hopefully slightly more successfully than the crochet 🤣🤣
Oh no! It looks like the red yarn has felted together 😥 no amount of blocking will undo that I'm afraid 😥 It still looks good though, and a nice pin/brooch would look fab with it 😍
@@craftingkirsty I don't trust my machine with any of my projects (unless I know they are 100% cotton), so I hand wash everything just in case. My first knitted jumper went in the wash, the band label said it could. Spoiler: it could not. It ended up fitting the cat instead of me... 😔 oh well 🤷♀️ I laugh about it now, but I stopped knitting for months after that as I was so upset with myself...
