Colbert is only good at reading from a teleprompter. I loved him as much as the next guy espically when he did the colbert report. But his interview skills are utterly trash. He cant riff like these two

When you’re drinking heavily over longer periods you get used to always holding a glass while talking or interacting with people - in addition comes the constant dehydration which makes you drink gallons of water on a daily basis You’re basically never seen without a drink - alcoholic or not I am experiencing this sort of thing myself and I drink truckloads of water - constantly- i get thirsty in a snap and every 5 minutes
You guys don't understand how a talk show works. The guest is meant to be the center of attention-the only way the host becomes the focus is if they have to carry the interview because the guest is too passive or boring, which is actual work. A guest who is very outspoken and witty (like another talk show host) is a welcome opportunity for the host to sit back and let things unfold, thus there's no need to "handle" anything at all.
Vodkainum You have to match the energy of the guest. Or it feels like they are hosting. The host should have the trigger to elevate the energy. Here Conan seems a fan.
Two of the most sincere, pure late night hosts ever to appear on TV. Both Conan and Craig made their shows their own: nobody else can "take over" from them, even though a few (unsuccessfully) have tried.

They mustn't, and no real network would do that. The reason, they'll steal the spotlight from the guests and dominate the conversation. It would especially show when the guests are not very talkative....
Love this! Is it just me or is it the absolute best chemistry when one late night host invites another late nigh host? The're soo warm and lively! Same brilliancy was when Conan went on Colbert. Same brilliancy was when Graham Norton went on Colbert.
I wish Conan just do a bar talk show with him as the bar tender and people just show and booze out and chat. First Craig will walk in and just more people come. Throw in bill burr. Then Jeff goldblum arrives, chit chats and gets on the piano for some ambience.
David Letterman wanted CBS to give Craig The Late Show in the event something were to happen to him. Former network boss Leslie Moonves didn't honor that wish.
God I miss the Late Late Show with Craig. Hands down my favourite TV show, never mind late night show. Became a routine for me. Things weren't the same after he left. Part of the void was filled by @Midnight with Chris Hardwick, as he would have a lot of great guests and up and coming comics. Pretty sure Craig was on the show a few times.
Loved Late Night Show w/ Craig Ferguson, Thw Pete Holmes Show, The Dick Cavvet Show etc. Apart from them all Conan although stuck in his formula and personality (it works) for some sake or another mostly still seems fresh, even on top of decade+ running gags etc. You the boy Conan.
Never compare Craig and Conan,they're both the greatest,they're both incomparable, Craig is King of Funny Flirtation and Seduction, Conan is King of Wittiness and Goofiness...
Id watch these 2 talk about nothing for hours everyday. I still watch TLLSWCF everyday. Craig is just the best late night talk show host. Even Norm McDonald talks highly of Craig's show. Conan is great as well, but no one comes close to Craig. When he left, Late Night talk show died. Keep banging on your drums... :')
